The Best Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Garlic bread is pretty much a universally loved dish.
I mean, who can resist it? I know I can't. And that's especially true when it's buttery, bursting with garlic flavor, and crispy around the edges.
Honestly, even just the smell of garlic bread makes my mouth water!
It's such a versatile side dish, too. Garlic bread goes amazing with pasta, soup, as an appetizer, or even on its own.
And, in my opinion, there's no better way to make garlic bread than with the air fryer!
Garlic bread made in the air fryer always comes out golden and crunchy and is a lot faster than making it in the oven. Plus, it won't heat up your kitchen - which can be a big bonus in the summer months - but it will still make your home smell amazing!
Anyway, this air fryer garlic bread recipe is as simple as it gets - I mean, it's made with just 5 ingredients & in just 10 minutes. But, it turns out so crunchy and so delicious that it rivals any Italian restaurant's version.
Best of all, you can pair it with practically anything and everything. But I personally love this homemade garlic bread with this beef lasagna, four cheese pasta, chicken parmigiana, and these breaded chicken cutlets.
Ingredients
Again, you don't need anything crazy for this garlic bread recipe, just 5 basic ingredients you can find anywhere. In fact, you might have most of these on hand already!
So, here's what you'll need to make this air fryer garlic bread:
- 5 Bread Slices, halved if they're too big
- 4 tbsp. Butter
- 1 tbsp. Garlic Puree
- 1 tbsp. Fresh Parsley, sliced
- Salt and Pepper
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
So, you can use any kind of bread you want, but I find crusty bread like a baguette, sourdough bread, or this homemade Longhorn Steakhouse bread work best to give the garlic bread a super crunchy texture.
Now, to make the garlic puree, all you have to do is pulse peeled garlic cloves in a blender - or food processor - into a paste. Or, alternatively, you can also buy garlic puree premade from the store.
By the way, if you want to turn this recipe into cheesy garlic bread, just add some grated parmesan cheese to the butter mixture - and on top of the bread - before loading everything into the air fryer basket.

How to Make Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Ok, so, I'm not going to lie, making garlic bread in the air fryer is the easiest thing in the world! All you have to do is combine your ingredients into a butter mixture, spread it over your bread, and pop it in the air fryer. And from start to finish, it should take just about 10 minutes to make this air fryer garlic bread.
So, with all that said, let's get into the details!
Step 1: Make the Garlic Butter Mixture
First things first, preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180ºC), so the garlic bread will cook evenly.
Next, melt the butter in the microwave in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Then, add the garlic puree and fresh parsley to the bowl of butter, along with a little salt and pepper and parmesan cheese if you want.
Now, mix all of these ingredients together until they are evenly combined and form a garlic butter. And if you're going to make cheesy garlic bread, you can also add your parmesan cheese in this step.
Step 2: Butter the Bread
Now, arrange your bread slices on a baking tray and brush each one generously with the garlic butter mixture.
And, if you want, top each slice with some more parmesan cheese.
Step 3: Air Fry the Garlic Bread
Next, put a few of the garlic bread slices in the air fryer basket and make sure they're all lying flat in one even layer.
You'll likely have to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer basket, so don't worry if all the slices don't fit into the air fryer. The most important thing here is that the garlic bread gets enough space to cook evenly in the air fryer oven.
Now air fry your garlic bread for 3-5 minutes until golden brown, and then transfer it to a plate and repeat with the rest of the bread.
Serve warm as an appetizer - or with any meal of your choice - and enjoy!

How to Store Air Fryer Garlic Bread
So, this recipe will make about 5 slices of perfectly crispy garlic butter bread. But, you can really make as much as you want! Just adjust the ingredients accordingly.
With that said, if you have some leftover bread, it can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Just keep in mind you won't want to store it in the fridge as it will ruin the consistency of the bread.
To reheat garlic bread in the air fryer, add it to a preheated air fryer and air fry it at 320°F (145ºC) for 2-3 minutes or until warm.
This garlic bread also freezes really well! You can store leftover garlic bread or uncooked garlic bread in the freezer for up to 3 months. To store it this way you'll want to wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container.
