The Best Little Caesars Crazy Bread

Ok, so we've all seen those Little Caesars commercials boasting about how deliciously cheesy their crazy bread is. And, I'm not going to lie, every time the crazy bread comes on the screen, I always crave it.

So that's why I've come up with this copycat Little Caesars crazy bread recipe; because isn't everything just better made fresh at home?

Well, I think it is. And with this recipe, not only do you get that soft, doughy crazy bread texture but you get that iconic Little Caesars taste too. Just don't forget the pizza sauce for dipping!

Now, my favorite part about Italian cheese bread is how darn easy it is to make. All you have to do is prepare the topping for the bread - which takes no more than 5 minutes - and then the oven does all of the heavy lifting.

I'm not kidding, it's that easy!

So, it goes without saying, this Little Caesars crazy bread is the ultimate appetizer for whenever you're hosting, or for whenever you need a quick, easy side dish for dinner. Honestly, I love having it as a side with this beef lasagna, meatball soup, pizza casserole, and this Olive Garden chicken alfredo. So, if you're wondering what you should pair this recipe with, those would be 3 of my top choices.

Anyway, with all that said, let's jump into the ingredients you'll need to make this crazy bread recipe.

A cuttingboard with little caesars crazy bread sticks on it.

    Ingredients

This crazy bread recipe uses only a handful of ingredients, and I'll bet you have most - if not all - of them at home already.

Anyway, here's what you'll need to make this Little Caesar's crazy bread:

    • 1 premade pizza crust or dough
    • ½ tsp. garlic powder
    • 3 tbsp.  butter, melted
    • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
    • ¼ Pizza Sauce to serve

    See? Simple stuff!

Now, some crazy bread recipes you'll see online require making pizza dough from scratch, but why go the extra step when the premade stuff is just as good? To that point, I like to use the Pillsbury pizza crust. But you can use any pizza crust - or pizza dough - that you want. Anything works great for this recipe, you just might have to adjust your baking time depending on the type of dough.

By the way, speaking of pizza dough, I also use the premade dough to make this Little Caesars Italian cheese bread, so you'll definitely want to give that a try sometime too.

A countertop with 4 bowls containing pizza sauce, parmesan cheese, butter, and garlic powder. A pastry brush and pre-made pizza dough sits next to them.

    Ingredient Substitutions And Suggestions

Alright, so this crazy bread recipe uses freshly grated parmesan cheese, but you can actually use any kind of grated cheese that you want. Honestly, even a mix of cheeses will work.

Now, if you really want to get crazy, you can make stuffed crazy bread by folding the pizza dough over some shredded mozzarella cheese or cheese sticks. If you do, the crazy bread will almost turn out like the crust from a stuffed-crust pizza.

Speaking of pizza, you can totally make pizza bread by adding some marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella on top. If you go this route I suggest spreading the garlic butter on the bread first - before the sauce and cheese - for an elevated flavor.

With all that said, any variation of this crazy bread will be delicious. You really can't go wrong.

How to Make Little Caesar's Crazy Bread

This recipe for Little Caesars crazy bread is, as I've mentioned, crazy easy to make. Honestly, making it is even easier than ordering it for takeout or delivery!

I mean, just 4 simple steps and 15 minutes are all that this recipe takes.

How much easier can making bread get?

Anyway, without further ado, here's how to make Little Caesar's crazy bread!

Pizza crust that has been cut into strips and baked lays on a countertop. A pastry brush sits on it.

Step 1: Cut the Pizza Dough

First, you're going to start by rolling out the pizza crust onto a sheet of parchment paper on a cutting board.

Next, using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 16 equal rectangular slices. Then, transfer the pieces - and the parchment paper - onto a baking sheet.

A small bowl with melted butter, garlic powder, and salt. A rubber brush sits in the bowl.

Step 2: Bake the Pizza Dough

Next, bake the pizza dough according to the package directions. I used the Pillsbury pizza crust, so I baked it at 400°F for 8 minutes.

Also, just so you know, if you're making stuffed crazy bread, this is where you would roll up the cheese inside of the pizza crust. Then, transfer it to the oven and cook according to the directions.

A countertop with baked pizza crust on parchment paper. It has been brushed with butter and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. The two bowls sit next to it on the counter. A bowl of pizza sauce sits next to that.

    Step 3: Make the Butter

Now, while the pizza crust is cooking, you can make the garlic butter mixture. Start by melting the butter and then mix in the garlic powder and salt.

Then, once the breadsticks are cooked, brush them with the butter mixture using a pasty brush and immediately sprinkle the buttered breadsticks with parmesan cheese.

Also, if you're using the Pillsbury crust - or really any premade pizza dough - you'll want to put the crazy bread back in the oven for a few more minutes to finish baking.

A pile of homemade little caesar's crazy bread sticks lay on a parchment paper sheet. A side bowl with pizza sauce sits next to them.

    Step 4: Serve

Now, once the crazy bread is baked to golden perfection,  you can take it out of the oven and add even more parmesan cheese on top.

Finally, serve the crazy bread on a plate with pizza sauce for dipping, and enjoy!

How to Store Little Caesar's Crazy Bread

This recipe for Little Caesars crazy bread will make enough for about 4 people. So if you're serving it at a party, I recommend making two or three batches!

Also, don't worry about having leftovers. This Little Caesars crazy bread is just as delicious - if not even more delicious - the day/s after you make it.

Oh, and speaking of leftovers, if you have any, you can store the breadsticks in a resealable bag, bread box, or wrapped in foil. Stored like that they'll stay good for up to 4-5 days at room temperature.

By the way, these tasty bread sticks can also be stored in the freezer if you want to keep them for longer! They'll last for about 3 months in a freezer-safe bag.

How to Reheat Little Caesars Crazy Bread

Ok, so the quickest way to reheat this Little Caesars crazy bread is going to be in the microwave. All you'll have to do is reheat the bread in 20-30 second increments until it's hot.

Alternatively, you can reheat the crazy bread in the toaster oven or oven. Just either set the toaster to the toast setting and toast it for about 4 minutes. Or, if using the oven, bake it at 350°F for about 6 minutes until warm.

A stick of little caesars crazy bread has been dunked into the side bowl of pizza sauce and is getting lifted out. The remaining little caesars crazy bread sticks are on a cutting board in the background.

    Wrapping It All Up

Well, that's how to make Little Caesar's crazy bread!

From the fluffy yet crisp bread to the garlic parm topping, this really is a crazy combo of deliciousness!

Honestly, I can't stop making this when I have company over. It's quick and easy, and who doesn't love elevated breadsticks?
