The Best Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew

The Starbucks caramel cold brew was an instant hit the moment it got on the menu.

The combo of buttery sweet caramel, smooth ice-cold coffee, and the cloud of salted cream on top is just so good. And, let's be real, it's also insanely addicting.

Honestly, I can't think of many better ways to start the day!

That said, the best part is that making it at home is ridiculously cheaper, gives you a ton more servings, and lets you play with flavors for the perfect cup.

Better yet, this recipe literally comes together in less than 5 minutes with no barista experience required. It's as easy to make and filled with as much caramel deliciousness as this caramel frappuccino!

So, skip the line, save your money, and make a huge batch of the best salted caramel cold brew you've ever had!

By the way, if you want to make a sweet breakfast that's filled with caramel flavor, you have to make these caramel rolls too!

    Ingredients

Alright, so you only need a few basic ingredients for this copycat Starbucks caramel cold brew recipe!

    Here's everything you'll need:

    • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
    • ΒΎ cup cold brew coffee
    • 1 cup ice
    • β…“ cup half & half
    • 1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
    • pinch of sea salt

By the way, you can make your own cold brew and caramel sauce, but store-bought is great, too.

Or, you could even use regular coffee instead of the Starbucks cold brew coffee, and this salted caramel cold foam will be just as delicious!

Also, just so you know, you can use almost all of these ingredients - including the vanilla syrup - to make my iced white chocolate mocha and vanilla sweet cream cold brew. Both are copycat Starbucks recipes that taste just like the coffee shop!

How to Make Starbucks Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew

Now, once you have the ingredients ready, this salted caramel cold brew recipe comes together in a snap!

So, let's not waste any more time!

Here's how to make Starbucks salted caramel cream cold brew at home.

Any immersion blender mixing caramel cold foam in a cup.

Step 1: Make the vanilla salted cream

First, take out a deep bowl - or pitcher - and add the half and half, vanilla syrup, and a pinch of sea salt to it.

Then, whip it up with a handheld electric mixer until it becomes nice and foamy. Alternatively, you can use a milk frother or immersion blender or simply whisk vigorously by hand for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

A hand holding a pitcher of caramel cold brew pouring it into a glass cup that has caramel sauce on the edges.

Step 2: Mix the caramel and coffee

Now, once you have the foam, drizzle the caramel sauce into your favorite cup. I like to coat all of the sides with caramel sauce. And if you're feeling fancy, you can use a clear glass.

Then, add a couple of ice cubes to the cup if you want and pour the cold brew coffee into it.

Step 3. Top with The foam

Finally, pour the salted cream foam on top of the cold brew coffee for an extra frothy finish.

Then, take a sip of all of that foamy deliciousness and enjoy!

FAQs About This Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew Recipe

What does Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew have in it?

The salted caramel cream cold brew at Starbucks features their Cold Brew Coffee, vanilla syrup, and salted caramel cream cold foam. You can also have it with the Starbucks nitro cold brew coffee. It's common to get caramel syrup instead of vanilla. And then, of course, it's served over ice.

Is salted caramel cream cold brew sweet?

The salted caramel cream cold brew at Starbucks is delicious, but yes, it's also pretty sweet. But this homemade version doesn't use added sugar like Starbucks, and honestly, it has the perfect amount of sweetness. Of course, if you want to sweeten it up even more, you can always add a little sugar or sweetener to it, but I think it's perfect just how it is.

Are you supposed to mix the salted caramel cold brew?

It's totally up to you! If you want to enjoy the foam only on the top, you don't have to mix it. But if you want the foam to be mixed in the drink so you can have an even flavor with every single sip, you can mix it up. I love taking a few sips of all the foam, then mixing it after to get the best of both worlds.

Can you make it dairy free?

To make Starbucks salted saramel cream cold brew coffee dairy free, you can swap out the half and half for cashew milk, oat milk, soy milk, or almond milk. You could also use half dairy free milk and half coconut cream for creamier results. Here are some other great heavy cream substitutes for this tasty cold drink.
