    The Best Salmon Pasta Recipe

After you make this creamy salmon pasta recipe once, your family is going to beg you to make it again.

    It's seriously that good!

This salmon pasta recipe has it all. Tender baked salmon, perfectly cooked pasta, wilted spinach, and a creamy sauce that is worth writing home about.

Now, when I'm talking cream sauce, I really mean cream sauce. This pasta sauce has everything you want in a creamy sauce - from the garlic, capers, and butter to the white wine and lemon zest. It's really the best cream sauce you've ever had, I guarantee it!

Also, something I love about this creamy salmon pasta recipe is that you can easily make small adjustments to it to make it a bit different every time. So, if you're curious about those small tweaks, I'll go into them in greater detail down below!

Oh, and for what it's worth, this garlic bread recipe or Little Caesars crazy bread is something I always pair with this pasta recipe. I just love dipping the bread into the cream sauce. There's just something so satisfying about eating the crispy, garlicky bread, with the warm rich sauce.

Anyway, with all that said, let's get into the ingredients!

A bowl with creamy salmon pasta in it.

    Ingredients

The ingredient list for this recipe is pretty simple. With a quick trip to the grocery store, you can have everything you need to make this recipe.

Here's what you're going to need to cook your salmon:

    • 2 Salmon Fillets
    • 1 tsp. Kosher salt
    • ½ tsp. Black Pepper

And what you'll need for the creamy sauce:

    • 12 oz. Pappardelle Pasta (or any pasta you want)
    • 2 tbsp. Unsalted Butter
    • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
    • 1 cup Heavy Cream
    • ½ cup Dry White Wine
    • 1 tsp. Grated Lemon Zest
    • 5 oz. Baby Spinach Leaves
    • 2 tbsp. Capers

    That's it!

And I promise it's worth it to use each and every one of these ingredients. They work together perfectly to make the best pasta dish you've ever had. Plus, you can use almost every single one to make this creamy spinach pasta and shrimp pasta, so definitely check those easy pasta recipes out next!

For the pasta, I prefer pappardelle pasta because I like the shape and how it clings to the sauce. That being said, you can use any kind of pasta you like, including whole wheat pasta.

Now, about those little tweaks, in addition to the occasional squeeze of lemon juice, I do also like to add sun dried tomatoes, grated parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, or even red pepper flakes every now and then.

But, feel free to add ingredients that suit your tastes! Practically anything can go well with this pasta recipe.

By the way, if you're picking up salmon from the store, grab a few extra fillets to make some more of my delicious salmon recipes. These salmon bites, fried salmon, and miso glaze salmon are all so good.

How To Make This Creamy Salmon Pasta Recipe

This salmon and pasta in a creamy garlic sauce are wonderfully simple to make, I promise.

Regardless of if you're a whiz in the kitchen or don't cook that often, it's easier than you think to make an elevated dish like this.

Okay, let's not waste any more time and dive into how to make creamy salmon pasta!

Three seasoned salmon fillets in a square dish.

    Step 1: Bake The Salmon

First things first, preheat the oven to 400°F (200ºC) and prepare a baking dish with parchment paper.

Next, season the salmon with salt and pepper on both sides and place the fillets on your prepared baking dish. Then, spray each salmon fillet with a little cooking spray and bake for 12 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.

    Step 2: Cook Pasta

While the roasted salmon is baking, cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

I like to cook mine al dente or a little on the underdone side, but you can cook the pasta however you like it!

Step 3: Make The Garlic butter

Now, in a medium pot, heat the butter until it melts, and add the garlic cloves.

Let the garlic butter cook for 2 minutes or until fragrant.

Step 4: Make The creamy Sauce

Next, add the heavy cream, lemon zest, and dry white wine to the pot of garlic butter.

Then, let everything cook for a minute or so until the sauce slightly thickens.

    Step 5: Finishing the pasta

Now that you have a pasta sauce, add the pasta, baby spinach, and capers along with the roasted salmon to the pot

Then, mix everything together to coat the pasta and salmon in the sauce and cook for a minute or so until the spinach has slightly wilted.

Finally, serve this delicious pasta dish hot, and enjoy!

How To Store Creamy Salmon Pasta

This easy pasta recipe will make about 4 servings.

So, if you want more for a big family dinner - or want to make enough to have leftovers for the week - just double or triple the recipe!

Then, to store the leftovers, you can transfer the salmon pasta to an airtight container and store it in the fridge for up to 4 days.

    How To Reheat Salmon Pasta

To reheat your leftover pasta, my favorite way is to put everything in a skillet. Just add everything to a skillet over medium heat with a dash of olive oil.

Then, heat for a minute or two, constantly stirring until the pasta is heated. This gives it such a delicious texture that is similar to this fried spaghetti.

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make creamy salmon pasta!

As you can see, it's really quite a simple recipe, and the flavor is unmatched.

Anyway, I'm sure by now you're convinced that this creamy salmon pasta is perfect for your next weeknight dinner! It's actually on the menu at our house again this week.
