This Texas Roadhouse grilled shrimp recipe is as good as seafood gets. It combines fresh shrimp with tangy lemon juice, olive oil, and select herbs to make perfectly seasoned shrimp skewers. And, the best part? These homemade shrimp skewers require just 3 simple steps and 6 minutes to cook!

Ingredients

½ lb. peeled and deveined shrimp, but with tails

1 ½ tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp mixed herbs (oregano and basil)

1 tsp dried parsley

1 tsp paprika powder

Seasoned rice to serve (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the olive oil, lemon juice, seasonings, and herbs to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add shrimp and stir gently to coat them with the spice mixture. Cover the bowl of shrimp with plastic wrap or tin foil and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinade.
  3. Thread the shrimp onto bamboo skewers.
  4. Cook the shrimp in a grill pan (or on the grill) for 3 minutes per side. Alternatively, you can bake the shrimp for 4-6 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the pan and serve over rice.
