    THE BEST SPICY HUMMUS

Hummus is such an underrated dip that's becoming more and more popular. It's one of my go-to snacks paired with a variety of things like tortilla chips, pretzels, and veggies.

And if you've never made it from scratch, you're in for the most delicious hummus you'll ever eat! This spicy hummus is creamy, has so much flavor, and it is made with all fresh, simple ingredients.

Combining all of the ingredients this recipe creates a taste and texture that you really won't find in anything else. And there's just something about homemade hummus that just hit different, and you'll never want to go back to the store-bought kind again!

This recipe is awesome to make if you need a dip to serve if you're hosting or just want to have a healthy spread on hand for the week.

    HUMMUS INGREDIENTS

So, the hummus ingredients are pretty simple, and you might have some of them in your kitchen already!

    Check out everything you'll need:

    • 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans
    • 2 tablespoons cold water
    • ¼ cup tahini
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
    • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil

The ingredient list may seem hefty, but most of them are pantry staples or something you can easily find at the grocery store.

And if you have to run to the store, grab a pack of tortilla shells so you can make these air fryer tortilla chips to go with the dip!

    HOW TO MAKE HUMMUS

Before I made this recipe, I thought making hummus was a difficult process, but that couldn't be further from the truth! It's actually super simple, and you'll find this recipe to be a breeze.

So with that said, let's get to it and make spicy hummus!

    STEP 1: PREP

First, take out a food processor and put all of the ingredients on your counter.

Then drain the garbanzo beans, rinse them off, and pat dry with paper towels. Set them aside with the rest of the ingredients.

    STEP 2: MAKING THE HUMMUS

Now, add the tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and sesame oil to the food processor and pulse until everything turns smooth and creamy.

Next, add the garbanzo beans and blend them just until a paste begins to form. Once it does, add the cold water to the food processor and continue blending until a creamy consistency forms.

Then either serve or for the best experience, refrigerate until chilled and enjoy!

    HOW TO STORE HUMMUS

So this easy hummus recipe with tahini will make about 6 generous servings.

It's more than enough to last you an entire week, but if you're serving it at a party, you may want to double or triple the recipe.

And don't worry about making too much - you can keep it in the fridge in an airtight container for about 4 days. It's just as good on day four as it is right after making it!
