The Best McDonald's Parfait Recipe
If you ever had the fruit and yogurt parfait at McDonald's, then you know it was one of the best items on their breakfast menu. The creamy and tangy yogurt layered with berries and crunchy granola made for a light, healthy, and addictive breakfast that always seemed to make my day better.
Sadly, McDonald's discounted the parfait cup in 2020. But, the good news is you can still make it at home with this copycat recipe! I think it's even better than McDonald's version!
All you need is 5 simple ingredients and 1 minute to make these dreamy breakfast yogurt parfaits a reality.
Oh, and for the complete McDonald's breakfast spread, you can also check out my McDonalds iced coffee, breakfast burrito, and McGriddle recipes! They're all super tasty copycat versions of the "real" thing.

Ingredients
As I just mentioned, all you need for these McDonald's parfaits are 5 ingredients. But, you can add or subtract whatever you want from the recipe based on what works for you.
Anyway, here's everything you'll need to make McDonald's fruit n yogurt parfait cups:
- 2 cups Vanilla Yogurt
- 1 cup Frozen Strawberries, thawed
- 1 cup Frozen Blueberries, thawed
- ½ cup Sweet Granola
- Mint leaves, to garnish
Now, just to clarify, you can use fresh fruit instead of thawed frozen fruit. The reason I prefer frozen fruit is that when it thaws, it releases flavorful juice that makes for an even more sweet-tasting parfait with no sugar added.
If you don't mind the extra sugar, you can also get the same effect with fresh berries by mixing them with 2 tablespoons of sugar and leaving them for 30 minutes or overnight to macerate.
By the way, if you have fresh blueberries and strawberries, you need to make these mini no bake cheesecake bites for dessert! You can use the fruit to top them off. Gah, those are so good.

Optional Add-Ins
So, this yogurt parfait is great as is. But, just in case you want to switch it up, here are some of my favorite add-ons and swaps:
- Make your parfait vegan by swapping yogurt for a plant-based alternative.
- Add a drizzle of honey for extra sweetness
- Swap the berries for any seasonal fruit of your choice, such as raspberries or peaches.
- Mix peanut butter or almond butter in the yogurt and add chocolate chips for dessert.

How To Make McDonald's Parfait

Step 1: Build Your Parfaits
First, prepare two tall glasses - or parfait cups - by adding a layer of yogurt to the bottom of the cup. Add a layer of strawberries and blueberries, another layer of yogurt, and another layer of berries. Finish with another layer of yogurt and finish it with a few spoonfuls of granola on top.

Step 2: Garnish and Enjoy
Once you've finished building both parfait cups, top each with 1-2 mint leaves for garnish. Then, grab a spoon and enjoy!

How to Store Leftover Fruit n Yogurt Parfait
These McDonald's fruit n yogurt cups are best eaten fresh, but if you want to make extra batches of parfait for later, you can build them in individual parfait glasses and then cover them with cling wrap.
Alternatively, you can assemble them in an airtight container/s as well.
With that said though, I recommend saving the granola until you're about to serve the parfaits since it tends to get soft over time.
Now, if you store your parfaits as I described above they stay good in the fridge for 3-4 days.
By the way, for what it's worth, I wouldn't suggest freezing these parfaits since the yogurt might separate in the freezer.

Wrapping It Up
Well, that's how to make Mcdonald's yogurt parfait at home. Honestly, once you try these homemade McDonald's fruit n yogurt parfaits, I bet you won't even miss the ones they used to serve!
They're every bit as delicious as the ones you used to be able to buy off the McDonald's breakfast menu and they take no time at all to make! Plus, they can be made even healthier and customized to your preference.
What more could you ask for?
