    The Best McDonald's Smoothie

There's a lot to love about McDonald's smoothies.

For starters, they taste great, they're quick, and they're cheap. But, wouldn't you rather have a delicious strawberry banana smoothie that you made yourself, with wholesome ingredients, no added sugars, and healthy nutrients?

    I know I would.

Well, if you would too, that's where this strawberry banana smoothie. This smoothie recipe is made simply, with strawberries, bananas, Greek yogurt, and ice. And it tastes incredible!

A smoothie from Mcdonald's is made with things like natural and artificial flavors, demineralized pineapple juice concentrate, and pear juice concentrate. which are both basically flavored sugar.

This smoothie has none of that nonsense. Just straight-up delicious, healthy ingredients.

Now, what's great about this strawberry banana smoothie is that it takes just a few minutes to make! So it's a great quick breakfast or healthy snack. And, not only will you love this smoothie, but your kids are sure to love it too!

By the way, if you're looking for another delicious smoothie, you have to give this Bahama Mamma Tropical Smoothie a try next!

    Ingredients

Again, the ingredient list for this McDonald's strawberry banana smoothie couldn't be simpler.

Here's everything you'll need to make this smoothie:

    • 3 cups Strawberries
    • 2 Bananas
    • 1 ½ cup Greek Yogurt
    • 1 cup Ice Cubes
    • ¼-½ cup of milk if using frozen fruit

    Simple stuff, right?!

Now, just so you know, you can use fresh or frozen fruit for this recipe. It will taste just as delicious no matter which you choose.

With that said though, a lot of times I like to use frozen strawberries and bananas. I just like the fact that I end up using less ice in my smoothie if I use them, and the flavor of it is richer since the smoothie isn't watered down.

Optional Add-Ins for Your McDonald's Smoothie

This is a great smoothie to make on a daily basis. So I've included a list of add-ins that you can incorporate into your strawberry banana smoothie to make it a bit differently each time

    Check out these add-ins:

    • Add 2 tablespoons chia seeds or hemp seeds for some added health benefits
    • Add in a splash of heavy cream for a creamier smoothie
    • Swap your strawberries for mango and pineapple to make a mango pineapple smoothie
    • Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder

    How To Make McDonald's Smoothie

This recipe will make enough for two strawberry banana smoothies, so it's great to make if you want to share with someone else in the house!

But, if you only want to make it for yourself, just cut the ingredients in half.

Now, with all of that said, let's get into how to make McDonald's smoothie.

Strawberries, bananas, yogurt, and ice in a blender.

    Step 1: Add the Ingredients

First, get out all of your ingredients and a blender.

Now, pour the milk into the blender, followed by Greek yogurt, strawberries, bananas, and ice.

You can also use a food processor for this recipe. It will result in a thicker, soft-serve ice cream consistency. So if you want that, just add all of the ingredients to a food processor instead of your blender.

And, of course, as I mentioned just a second ago, if you like your smoothie on the thicker side, you can use frozen fruit or add. more ice. I like to freeze the strawberries and bananas because they make for an extra thick and creamy smoothie. If you like your smoothie on the thinner side, simply add more liquid.

    Step 2: Blend and Enjoy

Now, blend all of the ingredients together until smooth and fully combined.

Then, pour the smoothie into your favorite cup, or if you used a food processor, add it to a bowl and eat it with a spoon.

    And that's it!

Now, I don't know about you, but that seems way simpler than driving to McDonald's, waiting in line, and then watching your smoothie come out of some weird machine.

How To Store Your McDonald's Smoothie

If you're making this smoothie I have a feeling you're probably going to drink the whole thing.

But, just in case you're not able to finish your smoothie, you can store it for later or the next day. Just store it in an airtight container or sealable glass jar and it should stay good for up to 2 days.

However, just keep in mind that separation may occur when storing so you'll want to throw it back in the blender before drinking.

Pro tip: consider pouring your leftover smoothie, or extra smoothie, into an ice cube tray and freeze them. That way, when you want to make another strawberry banana smoothie, you can use those smoothie cubes instead of ice!

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make a McDonald's smoothie in the comfort of your own home.

This smoothie recipe is wonderfully simple - and way healthier - than a smoothie from the fast food chain. No modified food starch or preservatives are in this smoothie, just healthy fruits, and Greek yogurt.

It's seriously so fresh and delicious, and I have a feeling you'll be hooked after you give it a try. And if you share it with your family, they'll be obsessed too!
