The Best No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Ok, so if you’re a peanut butter lover - or are obsessed with Reese's peanut butter cups - you absolutely have to try this easy no bake pie.

And when I say it's easy to make, I mean it. It takes just 10 minutes to prepare this peanut butter pie and just 5 ingredients are all you need to make it!

Now, even though this no bake peanut butter pie is quick and easy to make, it still tastes like a decadent dessert you'd get from a bakery. I mean, it's incredibly smooth, creamy, and peanut buttery, and the chocolate pie crust is out of this world good.

Honestly, this pie is a peanut butter lovers dream come true. And I know this for a fact, because, well, I love peanut butter!

It's also my dad's favorite pie recipe. So, I always make it for his birthday, family get-togethers, and holiday celebrations like Thanksgiving!

Also, since it's a no bake pie that can chill in the fridge, I love making it in the morning of those big occasions, or a day or two ahead of them! That way, dessert is one less thing I have to think about when I'm hosting.

By the way, if you're looking for some more easy no bake pie recipes, you have to try this no bake chocolate Jello pie and no bake pumpkin pie too! There always a hit whenever I make 'em.

Anyway, now let's get into the ingredients you'll need to make this no bake peanut butter pie recipe!

    Ingredients

Ok, so as I mentioned before, this pie recipe is super simple to make.

In fact, it only takes a few minutes of prep time, and just a few ingredients to make. And, honestly, you probably have all of these ingredients in your kitchen already!

Anyway, here's what you'll need to make this no bake peanut butter pie:

    • 1 Chocolate Pie Crust
    • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, room temperature
    • 1 cup Peanut Butter
    • ½ cup Powdered Sugar
    • Toppings: Reese's Cups and Melted Peanut Butter

    See what I mean?

You don't even need to make a list, just head to your pantry, and you're probably good to go!

Oh, and what's even better is that you can actually use most of these ingredients to make another one of my favorite peanut butter recipes, this Reeses peanut butter pie. So you'll definitely want to give that a try next and see which one you like better.

    Diving Into The Ingredients

Now, the pie crust should be pre-made and ready to use. I like to use the Keebler chocolate pie crust because it doesn’t require any baking. That’s the whole point, right?!

Just so you know though, you can also use a graham cracker pie crust - or try using an Oreo cookie crust as I did here - to make this tasty no bake peanut butter dessert even more delectable.

And, honestly, you can even make your own homemade pie crust. But, to keep this an easy dessert recipe, using a pre-made crust is best.

As for the toppings, this recipe uses melted peanut butter and Reese's cups. But if you're looking for a slight crunch in your peanut butter pie, you can also add some chopped peanuts, Reese's Pieces, or even peanut butter chips.

If you want to go for the works, top your creamy peanut butter pie with some chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, melted chocolate chips, and extra fresh whipped cream too. There are so many combinations and no wrong answers here! And since this peanut butter pie recipe is so easy, you can make it over and over and come up with a new version each time.

How to Make No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

So, this no bake pie recipe only requires three simple steps. Then, after you follow those steps you’ll have a dessert that can feed the entire family!

Anyway, let's not waste any more time - get out your ingredients, and let's get cooking.

    Step 1: Prepare the Filling

Before we begin, make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature - this will make it easier to mix.

Then, add the room-temperature cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar to a large bowl.

Now using a stand mixer - or hand mixer - beat these ingredients together until they combine and turn into a smooth and creamy texture.

    Step 2: Build The Pie

Next, pour the peanut butter mixture that you just prepared onto the chocolate pie crust. Then, use a rubber spatula to evenly spread the peanut butter pie filling out over the crust.

Now refrigerate your prepared peanut butter no bake pie for a few hours - until the filling is firm.

With that said, since this is a no bake pie recipe, you actually don't even have to refrigerate this pie. You can - if you want - eat it immediately, but I think it's better once the filling has had some time to set.

    Step 3: Top and Serve

Now, once the pie has chilled, you can take it out of the fridge and top it with broken-up Reese's cups and melted peanut butter.

Finally, slice and serve this delicious peanut butter pie.

    Enjoy!

How to Store No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

This recipe for peanut butter pie will make about 8 slices pie, so it should be enough for everyone to get a slice or two! And, trust me, everyone is going to want another slice after they have their first. So plan on people eating multiple pieces when you make it.

With that said, if you happen to have some of this no bake pie leftover you can either cover the etire pie dish with plastic wrap or transfer the pie slices to an airtight container. Stored like this the leftovers will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
