The Best No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
Ok, so if you’re a peanut butter lover, or are obsessed with Reese's peanut butter cups, you absolutely have to try this easy no bake peanut butter pie. It's incredibly smooth, creamy, and peanut buttery, and the chocolate pie crust is out of this world good.
Honestly, this pie is a peanut butter lover's dream come true. And I know this for a fact because, well, I love peanut butter! It's also my dad's favorite pie recipe. So, I always make it for his birthday, family get-togethers, and holiday celebrations like Thanksgiving!
Also, since it's a no bake pie that can chill in the fridge, I love making it in the morning of those big occasions or a day or two ahead of them. That way, dessert is one less thing I have to think about when I'm hosting.
By the way, if you're looking for some more easy no bake pie recipes, you have to try this no bake banana pudding cheesecake, no bake chocolate Jello pie, and no bake pumpkin pie too! There is always a hit whenever I make them.
Ingredients Needed
- Chocolate pie crust- you can also use a graham cracker pie crust or an Oreo cookie crust. You can also use a homemade pie crust.
- Cream cheese- room temperature.
- Peanut butter- your favorite one.
- Powdered sugar- to make the filling melt in your mouth.
- Toppings- Reese's Cups and melted peanut butter. Chopped peanuts, Reese's Pieces, or even peanut butter chips make great toppings too.
Oh, and what's even better is that you can actually use most of these ingredients to make two more of my favorite peanut butter recipes, this Reeses peanut butter pie and peanut butter fudge.
How To Make No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
Step 1: Prepare The Filling
Before we begin, make sure your cream cheese is at room temperature - this will make it easier to mix.
Then, add the room-temperature cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar to a large bowl.
Now using a stand mixer - or hand mixer - beat these ingredients together until they combine and turn into a smooth and creamy texture.
Step 2: Build The Pie
Next, pour the peanut butter mixture that you just prepared onto the chocolate pie crust. Then, use a rubber spatula to evenly spread the peanut butter pie filling out over the crust.
Now refrigerate your prepared peanut butter no bake pie for a few hours - until the filling is firm.
With that said, since this is a no bake pie recipe, you actually don't even have to refrigerate this pie. You can - if you want - eat it immediately, but I think it's better once the filling has had some time to set.
Step 3: Top and Serve
Now, once the pie has chilled, you can take it out of the fridge and top it with broken-up Reese's cups and melted peanut butter. Finally, slice and serve this delicious peanut butter pie. Enjoy!
Make Ahead and Storage Tips For No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
My favorite part about this peanut butter no bake pie is that it's super convenient to make ahead of time! You can just prepare the pie and lightly cover it with plastic wrap. Then store it in the fridge overnight or for a few days until you're ready to serve it. The pie tastes amazing chilled!
If you happen to have some of this pie leftover, you can either cover the entire pie dish with plastic wrap or transfer the pie slices to an airtight container. Stored like this, the leftovers will last in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
