The Best No Bake Strawberry Pie
There's something wonderfully nostalgic about a fresh no bake strawberry pie. Atleast there is for me.
And, let me tell ya, this one doesn't disappoint.
This strawberry pie is composed of a sweet graham cracker crust that's filled with ripe strawberries folded into strawberry jello, and delicate whipped cream.
It's seriously one of my favorite no bake desserts, and it definitely my favorite fresh fruit dessert. I'd even put it ahead of my no bake banana pudding!
Now, what I love about this recipe is that you'd never be able to tell how easy it is to make. Everyone who tries the pie thinks it took an extravagant baking process, but it's actually one of the easiest pies you can make.
Oh, and if you want to give some equally delicious recipes a try next for dessert, you have to try this peach pie and sweet potato cobbler. Both make fantastic Thanksgiving desserts.
Ingredients
The ingredient list for this no bake strawberry pie recipe is pretty darn simple. You might even have everything you need to make it at home already!
Here's everything you'll need for the homemade graham cracker crust:
- 1 ½ cup Graham Crackers (or Lotus Crackers), in crumbs
- ⅓ cup Melted butter
For the strawberry pie filling:
- 1 (3 oz.) Package Strawberry Jello
- ⅔ cup Boiling Water
- ½ cup Cold Water
- ½ cup Ice Cubes
- 1 cup Cool Whip
- 4 cups Fresh Strawberries, sliced
And for the fresh whipped cream topping:
- Whipped Cream
- Strawberries
Now, if you want to save time, you can use a premade graham cracker crust instead of making your own from scratch. If you use a premade crust, it will cut the time down by about 10 minutes, so it's a great option if you're in a rush.
Oh, and also, for the crust, if you're making it from scratch, another option you have is to use Lotus Biscoff cookies instead of graham crackers. Personally, I love using Biscoff cookies when I make this pie for the holidays, and I find that using them gives this strawberry pie an even richer flavor.
Also, you may have noticed this no bake pie uses Cool Whip as part of the base and if you end up with any left over after making this recipe you can put it to good use by making this no bake cheesecake with Cool Whip next!
How To Make No Bake Strawberry Pie Recipe
With only 5 steps required and about 30 minutes of prep, you'll have this fresh strawberry pie done in a flash.
Honestly, the hardest part of making this pie will be waiting for it to set in your refrigerator! You'll want to let it set for a few hours, so plan accordingly if you want to make and serve this no bake strawberry pie on the same day.
Anyway, let's stop wasting time and get into it!
Step 1: Make The Pie Crust
First, if you're making the crust from scratch, crush up the graham crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or blender.
Then, add the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter to a bowl and mix until they're fully combined.
Next, cover a pie mold with plastic wrap and spread the crust on top of it, pressing it down with something heavy like a measuring cup. Refrigerate the graham cracker crust until it sets.
Of course, if you are using a premade crust, you can skip this step altogether.
Step 2: Make The Jello Filling
While the crust is setting, you can make the Jello filling to give it even more of a strawberry flavor.
So, to do that, boil a pot of water on the stovetop and mix the Jello with the boiling water.
Then, once the Jello completely dissolves, add the cold water and ice cubes and continue mixing to combine. Now let it sit for at least 10 minutes until it starts to get solid.
Once it's kind of solid, add the Cool Whip and sliced strawberries and gently mix to combine them with the Jello mixture.
Step 3: Refrigerate The Pie
So, now that you have the filling made, pour it into your premade - or freshly made - graham cracker crusts.
Then, transfer the pie to the refrigerator and let it chill for about 4-6 hours or until the filling sets.
Step 4: Serving the Pie
Once the filling has been set, you can take the pie out of the refrigerator.
To finish it off, top with some sliced strawberries and a little Cool Whip or whipped cream. Then slice the pie, serve cold, and enjoy this delicious pie!
Oh, one more thing, if you have any leftover graham cracker crumbs, I like to sprinkle them on top of my strawberry pie - but this is totally optional.
How To Store No Bake Strawberry Pie
This no bake strawberry pie will make about 8 servings, depending on how you slice it. So if you're serving it at a party, odds are you won't have any left.
But, if you make it for a family dessert, you might be able to save a slice of two. And if you do, you're in luck because this no bake strawberry pie stores really well.
You can either cover the pie dish tightly with plastic wrap or transfer the pie slices to an airtight container. They'll last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days!
