Ingredients You'll Need
One of my favorite things about this pie is that it doesn't require a ton of ingredients to make it. Honestly, you might even have everything you need to make it at home already.
Here's what you'll need for the homemade graham cracker crust:
- 1 ½ cup Graham Crackers (or Lotus Crackers), in crumbs
- ⅓ cup Melted butter
For the strawberry pie filling:
- 1 (3 oz.) Package Strawberry Jello
- ⅔ cup Boiling Water
- ½ cup Cold Water
- ½ cup Ice Cubes
- 1 cup Cool Whip
- 4 cups Fresh Strawberries, sliced
And for the fresh whipped cream topping:
- Whipped Cream
- Strawberries
Now, if you want to save time, you can use a premade graham cracker crust instead of making your own from scratch. If you use a premade crust, it will cut the time down by about 10 minutes or so, so it's a great option if you're in a rush.
Oh, and also, for the crust, if you're making it from scratch, another option you have is to use Lotus Biscoff cookies instead of graham crackers. Personally, I love using Biscoff cookies when I make this pie for the holidays, and I find that using them gives this strawberry pie an even richer flavor.
Also, just so you know, you can put any extra Cool Whip you end up with to good use by making this no bake cheesecake with Cool Whip as well!
How To Make No Bake Strawberry Pie Recipe
Just 5 steps are all you have to follow to put this pie together, and it'll be ready in a flash. Honestly, the hardest part of making this pie is waiting for it to set in the refrigerator!
Anyway, let's stop wasting time and get into it!
Step 1: Make The Pie Crust
So, if you're making the crust from scratch, you'll want to crush up the graham crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or blender.
Then, after you've done that, you'll want to add the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter to a bowl and mix until they're fully combined.
Next, cover a pie mold with plastic wrap and spread the crust on top of it, pressing it down with something heavy like a measuring cup. Refrigerate the graham cracker crust until it sets.
Of course, if you are using a premade crust, you can skip this step altogether.
Step 2: Make The Jello Filling
While the crust is setting, you can make the Jello filling to give it even more of a strawberry flavor.
So, to do that, boil a pot of water on the stovetop and mix the Jello with the boiling water.
Then, once the Jello completely dissolves, you'll want to add the cold water and ice cubes and continue mixing to combine. Now let it sit for at least 10 minutes or until it starts to solidify.
Once it's kind of solid, add the Cool Whip and sliced strawberries and gently mix to combine them with the Jello mixture.
Step 3: Refrigerate The Pie
So, now that you have the filling made, you'll want to pour it into your premade - or freshly made - graham cracker crusts.
Then, transfer the pie to the refrigerator and let it chill for about 4-6 hours or until the filling sets.
Step 4: Serving the Pie
Once the filling has been set, you can take the pie out of the refrigerator.
Then, to finish it off, you can top it with some sliced strawberries and a little Cool Whip or whipped cream. Finally, slice the pie, serve it cold, and enjoy!
Oh, one more thing, if you have any leftover graham cracker crumbs, I like to sprinkle them on top of my strawberry pie - but this is totally optional.
How To Store No Bake Strawberry Pie
This no bake strawberry pie will make about 8 servings, depending on how you slice it. So if you're serving it at a party, odds are you won't have any left.
But, if you are able to save a slice of two of it consider yourself lucky. That's because this no bake strawberry pie stores really, really well and it might be even better the next day/s after you make it.
Anyway, to store it you can either cover the pie dish you made the pie in tightly with plastic wrap or you can transfer the pie slices to an airtight container and store them in the fridge that way. Stored either of these ways they'll last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days!
