    The Best Dill Dip Recipe

This super easy dill dip recipe is the perfect addition to any cookout, family dinner, or a small get-together with friends.

It's super creamy, filled with flavor, and takes minutes to make!

I love making this dill dip whenever I'm hosting, especially if people are coming over to watch a football game. It's the perfect dip to serve with all kinds of snacks - chips, crackers, you name it - or even vegetables. Probably my favorite thing to pair it with though is some homemade air fryer tortilla chips.

Now, I know I said this dip is particularly great for serving, but it's also delicious to make just for yourself! You can use it as a spread to amplify the flavor in this grinder sandwich, this herb crusted chicken, or even this fried salmon.

    Ingredients

As I mentioned before, these ingredients are all super common grocery finds. And I wouldn't be surprised if you have everything that you need to make them!

Here's what you'll need to make this homemade dill dip:

    • ½ cup Sour Cream
    • ½ cup Mayonnaise
    • 1 tablespoon Dried Dill Weed
    • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
    • ½ tablespoon Dried Parsley
    • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • ½ teaspoon Salt

    See, pretty simple, right?

And you can actually use a lot of these ingredients to make this homemade ranch dressing and McDonalds breakfast sauce too. So, if you have to run to the store, make sure to stock up on what you'll need for all three recipes!

Ok, let's get to making this delicious and super easy dill dip!

    How to make Dill Dip

As you know by now, this dill dip only takes a few minutes to make, and the most time-consuming part is measuring out the ingredients. Seriously, that's how easy it is to make this stuff.

Now, just so you know, this recipe will make 1 cup of dill dip, so if you'll need more, you'll want to double, triple, or quadruple the recipe!

With all that said, let's not waste any more time and make this super easy dill dip!

    Step 1: Mix the Ingredients

First, if you haven't already, measure out all of the ingredients, and then add them to a small serving bowl or mixing bowl.

Next, give everything a thorough mix with a spoon until the ingredients combine into the smooth dill dip.

Step 2: Serve the Dill Dip

Now that you have this creamy dip mixed, you can serve it directly in the serving bowl or transfer the dip from a mixing bowl to whatever you want to serve it in. This serving platter has a slot for the dip and spaces for what you want to serve it with is great for hosting.

If you aren't serving the dip immediately - and are saving it for later - transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the fridge.

    Enjoy!

    How to Store Dill Dip

So, as I mentioned this recipe will make 1 cup, or more if you increased the ingredients.

If you have any dill dip leftover - or want to make it ahead of time to serve later in the day - you can store the dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Honestly, I actually think the dill dip tastes even better if you make it ahead of time and let it refrigerate for a few hours. Just make sure you give it a good stir before serving!

FAQs About This Dill Dip Recipe

What can I dip in dill dip?

The most traditional way to serve dill dip is with fresh vegetables. They tend to be a crowd favorite and it makes for a healthy appetizer or snack. Some of the best veggies to serve with the dip are carrots, celery, cucumbers, broccoli, and bell peppers, but you can serve it with anything you want! This honey wheat bread and cheesy bread pair extremely well with the dip too.

What is dill dip made of?

Typically dill dip is made of a mix of sour cream and mayonnaise for the base and then has dried dill weed as the main ingredient to give it that iconic flavor. And for additional flavors, it can have other seasonings like onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, and some salt and pepper.
