    The Best Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

This peppermint mocha frappuccino recipe creates an incredible artisan drink in the comfort of your own home.

It combines a creamy blend of coffee and milk with cocoa powder and peppermint syrup to create a holiday-inspired coffee drink that's to die for. Then, all of that deliciousness is topped with light and airy whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies. How good does that sound?!

Seriously, this homemade peppermint frappuccino tastes just like the one from Starbucks - so, if you love that one you'll love this one - but it's way less expensive to make it at home than to order it from the shop. And the best part is how easy it is to make. In fact, all you have to do is add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend away. Yup, that's it!

By the way, if you're like me and love a tasty kick of caffeine in the morning, I highly recommend trying this Starbucks gingerbread latte next. It's another one of my favorite holiday drink recipes!

    Ingredients

This peppermint mocha frappuccino uses quite simple ingredients to make it. And if you're a coffee lover, I can bet you already have everything you need on hand!

Anyway, here's what you'll need to make this peppermint mocha frappuccino:

    • 1 cup of strong coffee, frozen into cubes
    • ½ cup whole milk
    • 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar
    • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
    • 1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
    • Few drops of peppermint extract
    • Whipped cream
    • Crushed peppermint candies

    Simple stuff, right?!

By the way, if you love candy canes, you can use them to make this peppermint fudge and peppermint brownies! They're two of my favorite chocolate peppermint holiday treats.

    Ingredient Substitutions and Suggestions

Now, I love to make this recipe as it's written because it's so delicious that way. But, with that said, there are some adjustments you can make, and it'll be just as tasty.

First, if you're looking to add a bit more of that mocha flavor you can add some extra cocoa powder to the frappe, or you can even add some chocolate chips and blend them with the rest of the ingredients. Then, you can top your peppermint mocha frappe with dark chocolate curls, milk chocolate curls, or chocolate shavings.

As for the milk, I like to use full-fat milk, so it makes this frappe extra creamy. With that said though, you can use any milk that you prefer - skim milk, almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk will all work great.

Lastly, if you don't have peppermint candies for garnishing, you can use crushed candy canes instead! And for even more peppermint flavor, you can blend in some candy canes too.

With all that said, there are a number of ways you can adjust this peppermint frappe, and all of them will be equally delicious.

How to Make A Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

Now it's time for the fun part. It's time to make this peppermint mocha frappuccino!

As I mentioned earlier, this recipe is essentially just blending all of the ingredients together. Yup, 1 step is all you need to follow to make this drink. That's really all there is to it, and it'll taste like a barista at Starbucks made it!

Anyway, without further ado, let's get blending.

    Step 1: Combine the Ingredients

First, you'll want to take out your blender - or food processor - and add the coffee ice cubes, milk of your choice, brown sugar, instant coffee, cocoa powder, and peppermint extract to it.

Then, you can blend the ingredients together until they fully combine into a smooth, creamy drink.

    Step 2: Serve and Enjoy

Now that the peppermint mocha frappuccino is blended, you can pour it into your favorite glass and top it with whipped cream.

To finish it off, garnish it with some crushed peppermint candies - or crushed candy canes - and hang a candy cane on the rim. As I mentioned earlier, you can also add some milk or dark chocolate curls on top of the whipped cream too for some more chocolate deliciousness.

    Enjoy!

How to Store A Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino

This Starbucks peppermint mocha frappuccino recipe will make enough for one serving. It's the equivalent of a venti, so you might have some leftover and you're defnitely going to want to save it for later if you do.

So, if you have some leftovers, you can store your peppermint mocha frappe in the fridge for the rest of the day. You'll just want to make sure you re-blend it before drinking since some separation will occur. I also like to throw in an extra coffee ice cube or two when I reblend it as well.

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make a peppermint mocha frappuccino at home!

Honestly, you won't find a better coffee recipe for the holiday season than this one. From the refreshing peppermint to the sweet, chocolatey flavor, this creamy coffee drink is just too good.

I pretty much have been obsessed with this peppermint mocha frappe since I made it for the first time, and I have a feeling you'll be obsessed with it too.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this frappuccino recipe as much as I do.
