The Best Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate chip cookies are by far the most popular cookie, and they might be the most popular dessert too. I mean, who doesn't love a warm, freshly-baked batch of chocolate chip cookies?
I know I do, so I've been experimenting with different ways to make them and created these eggless chocolate chip cookies!
And I think the result is perfection. They're a cross between a soft and chewy cookie and a crispy and crunchy cookie - so you get the best of both worlds.
But the flavor of these no egg cookies is what I think makes them so incredible. Perfectly sweet, rich, and buttery with chocolate chips in every bite, these cookies won't disappoint.
And they are equally great to make during the holiday season, on special occasions, or on a laid-back weeknight - just like these gingerbread cookies.
Ingredients
If you've ever wondered how to make chocolate chip cookies without eggs it's actually not that much different than making them with eggs.
And they are all common baking ingredients that you'd find in a classic cookie recipe, so odds are you'll have everything you need to make them already! If not, they can easily be found at your local grocery store, and it's well worth the trip to pick them up.
Here's everything you'll need to make the best eggless chocolate chip cookies:
- 6 tbsp. Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp. Greek Yogurt
- ¼ cup Brown Sugar
- 3 tbsp. Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- ½ cup + 3 tbsp. All-purpose Flour
- ¼ tsp. Baking Soda
- ¼ tsp. Baking Powder
- ½ cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
By the way, once you stock up on these ingredients, you can use a few of them to make many more recipes like this biscuit recipe and these eggless pancakes.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies Without Eggs
Even if you've never made chewy cookies before, this eggless cookie recipe will be a breeze.
And, the best part is that it will take only take about 20 minutes before you can bite into one of these warm, ooey gooey cookies.
So, get out the ingredients, and let's get baking!
Step 1: Mixing the ingredients
First things first, preheat the oven to 350ºF (175°).
Then, add the butter, yogurt, brown sugar, sugar, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl and cream them with either a hand mixer - or stand mixer - for about 5 minutes - or until the ingredients are combined and very very soft.
Next, add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder to a bowl and mix them to combine. Pour the flour mixture into the bowl of creamed ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula until a cookie dough forms.
Once it does, add the chocolate chips to the bowl and fold them into the dough to combine.
Step 2: Baking The Cookies
So, now that you have made a delicious eggless cookie dough, it's time to sneak a few bites of it before cooking. Atleast that's what I'm doing 10/10 times when I make these cookies.
Anyway, at this point, you'll want to line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop 1 tablespoon-sized cookie at a time onto the sheet - leave about 1 ½ inches between each one.
By the way, you might need to bake the cookies in two batches depending on the size of your baking sheet.
And speaking of baking the cookies, you'll want to bake them for about 10 minutes - or until the cookies reach your desired doneness. Also, keep in mind that you don't have to worry about undercooking them since these are eggless cookies.
Now, let the baked cookies cool, then pour a glass of milk to go along with them, and enjoy!
How to Store Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies
So, this eggless chocolate chip cookie recipe will make about 16 cookies. And if you serve them at a holiday gathering or even just to your family, you might not have any leftovers!
But if you do, you can store the eggless cookies in an airtight container or resealable bag for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
And if you want to save them for longer, you can store the cookies in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 months. Then either microwave them for a few seconds to warm them up or enjoy the cookies chilled.
Freezing eggless cookie dough
Something else that is awesome about these eggless chocolate chip cookies is that you can make the dough and freeze it to bake another time, or have it as a delicious edible cookie dough treat!
For the best freezing results, scoop the cookie dough onto a tray as you would if you were baking them, then place the tray in the freezer until the cookie dough balls are frozen.
Then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container, and they will last for up to 3 months!
If you want to bake the frozen cookie dough, thaw in the fridge overnight and then bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
Wrapping It All Up
Once you try these eggless chocolate chip cookies, they will quickly become one of your favorite dessert recipes.
And if you want to experiment with creating other no egg cookies, you can make the dough and add in anything you want in place of the chocolate chips like chopped nuts, M&Ms, crushed Oreos, or anything else you come up with!
