The Best Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

This super easy cream cheese fruit dip is the perfect pairing for all sorts of fresh fruit, crackers, and cookies, and it makes for the perfect party snack too.

Honestly, this dip could make anything taste good!

It's incredibly rich, smooth, and creamy, with a lightly sweet flavor that is just so, so addicting. Trust me, even the pickiest of eaters will have no problem eating a healthy serving of fruit if you serve it up with this cream cheese fruit dip. My 2-year-old is proof of that.

By the way, if you want to give some other dessert dips a try, I highly recommend making this s'mores dip and this Dunkaroo dip. Either one is great to serve alongside this fruit dip for a decadent sweet option.

    Why This Recipe Works

It's quick and easy to make. All you have to do is mix the ingredients, and you can have this fruit dip ready in 1 minute!

It's a crowd favorite. Kids and adults both love this strawberry cream cheese dip. Since it goes so well with basically everything, there will be something for everyone.

You only need 3 ingredients to make this easy fruit dip. That's it!

Perfect make-ahead dessert. You can make this fruit dip in the morning and serve it later that day, or make it a few days in advance and serve it whenever your guests arrive.

    Ingredients

As I mentioned, you need just a few ingredients to make this delicious dip, and those ingredients are:

    • 4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature (full fat cream cheese or fat free cream cheese)
    • ¼ cup powdered sugar
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    • Serve with fresh fruit, crackers, and cookies

By the way, you can use almost all of these ingredients to make these mini cheesecake bites! So, if you're hosting and want something to serve with this fruit dip, you might want to give those a shot too.

Oh, and if you want a savory dip, you can use cream cheese to make this cream cheese dip.

An assortment of ingredients including bowls of fresh raspberries, blackberries, cream cheese, tangerines, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Some of the ingredients are on top of a wooden board, others are on the counter.

How To Make Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

    1. Combine the ingredients: Add the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to a medium bowl. Mix everything together well with a rubber spatula until you have a smooth dip.

A clear mixing bowl with a spoon and the bowl is filled with powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract, none of which has been mixed together.

    2. Serve or chill: Either serve immediately with a plate of fresh fruit, graham crackers, or any of the other dipping options or chill it in the refrigerator.

Tips To Make The Best Recipe

    • Use an electric stand mixer or food processor to make a lighter, fluffier dip.
    • Add marshmallow creme for a sweeter flavor.
    • Whip cream cheese with a whisk or electric mixer before combining it with the other ingredients.
    • Make the dip ahead of time and serve it later that day or the next day for a convenient treat everyone will love.

How To Store Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

In the fridge: Store the dip in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

FAQS About This Fruit Dip Recipe

What is cream cheese fruit dip made of?

It is most commonly made with a combination of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Marshmallow cream or Cool Whip is sometimes added for a lighter, sweeter dip.

What fruit goes well with cream cheese?

Any berries like strawberries and raspberries go really well, along with kiwi, mandarin oranges, and even apple slices.

Why is my cream cheese fruit dip lumpy?

You either didn't let your cream cheese soften enough before mixing, or you didn't mix everything enough. Using an electric mixer first and then mixing the ingredients with a rubber spatula makes it easier to achieve a smooth dip consistency.
