They're like a soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie but with chunks of a milky bar inside of them. And if you want, you can add some walnuts for an added crunch and nutty flavor.

Now, if you've never heard of a milky bar before, it's a white chocolate bar made by Nestle that uses milk as the main ingredient. It makes for super creamy and smooth chocolate that's the star of these stuffed cookies.

Oh, and if you want another recipe for stuffed cookies, you have to give these ooey-gooey Marshmallow Cookies a try. Both cookies are a hit with everyone, from kids to adults, and both are super easy cookie recipes as well.

    Ingredients

Ok, so this recipe takes a good chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe and takes it to the next level by stuffing it with a delicious milky bar.

As a result, you'll need all the typical ingredients you would need for a classic chocolate chip cookie, but just a milky bar to go along with those as well.

    Here's everything you'll need:

    • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
    • ½ cup sugar
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
    • 1 ½ cup walnuts or macadamia nuts, chopped
    • 12. oz Milky Bar, cut in chunks

    Pretty standard cookie ingredients, eh?!

By the way, you can use almost all of them to make these Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookies next!

Now, the only thing you might not have is the milky bar. Most grocery stores sell it, but if you can't find milky bars at the store, you can get it here on Amazon. And you can also use any white chocolate that you want to make these cookies!

A white bowl filled with cookie dough. Next to it is part of a ball with pieces of white chocolate in it.

How to Make Milky Bar Cookies

These milky bar cookies start pretty simply, like many basic cookie recipes, and then there's a twist at the end that makes these go from good to great!

And this recipe is a fun one to make with kids, so get your family in the kitchen before you start making them. Just keep an eye on everyone so the cookie dough doesn't disappear before it makes it into the oven!

Now, let's make some candy bar cookies!

Six cookie dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Behind it as part of a bowl with white chocolate chunks in it and part of another bowl with the rest of the cookie dough in it.

    Step 1: Prepping The Ingredients

First, take out a large bowl, and add the flour, baking soda, and salt to it. Then, give them a little mix and set the bowl aside for later.

Next, add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar to a mixing bowl and cream the butter and sugar together with a hand or stand mixer.

Once they're creamy, add the vanilla extract and the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix as you do this until everything is incorporated.

Step 2: Making The Cookie Dough

Now, slowly pour the dry ingredient mixture you set aside earlier into the mixing bowl of wet ingredients and continue to mix as you add.

Then, add in the nuts - if you want to use them - and use a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to fold them into the cookie dough. Just mix until everything is combined - you don't want to overmix!

Next, refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes - this really makes a difference for the overall taste and texture of the cookies.

And when the dough is almost done chilling, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper so it's ready to go.

Hey cookie dough ball with a few chunks of milk bar in it. The cookie dough ball is on a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet and there are a couple of more cookie dough balls on the paper.

    Step 3: Baking The Cookies

I've found the best way to make these milky bar cookies is to make them big! I like to use a cookie scoop or two spoons to form about 12 cookie dough balls and bake them in two batches.

Once you form each ball, put it on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper until you have 6 cookie dough balls. Then once all the cookies are on the sheet, press a few chunks of the milky bar into each one - don't be afraid to push them into the dough!

Next, bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, then repeat the same process with the rest of the cookie dough.

After all the cookies are baked to perfection, let them cool for a few minutes, and enjoy!

    Storing Milk Bar Cookies

So, this milky bar cookie recipe will make about 12 big cookies. And if you bring them to a holiday party or if you had your family make them with you, odds are there won't be any leftovers!

But if you do, you can store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about 2-3 weeks, or in the fridge for up to a couple of months.

And if you want to keep them for longer, you can put them in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container and freeze for about 2 months.

    Refrigerating The Cookie Dough

My favorite part about this cookie recipe is baking half the batch when I make them and saving the other half for later in the week.

And this is my favorite because there's really nothing that beats warm cookies fresh out of the oven!

So if you want to do this, just seal the top of the mixing bowl that the cookie dough is in with plastic wrap, or put a lid on it if it has one.

Then you can refrigerate the cookie dough for about 3 days.

That way, whenever you want to make it, you can form the cookie dough balls, top them off with the milky bar, then bake as described above.

    How To Freeze Cookie Dough

Now, if you want to prepare this cookie dough in advance, you can make it and freeze it for up to 3 months!

To do this, form the cookie dough balls and put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Next, transfer it to the freezer until the dough balls are solid, and then put them in a freezer-safe bag labeled with the date.

When you want to bake the cookies, let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight, add the milky bar pieces to each one, and bake!

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that is how to make stuffed cookies with a milky bar!

These milky bar cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with white chocolate pieces and a little crunchy finish to create a one-of-a-kind homemade cookie.

They're seriously some of the tastiest cookies you can make, and everyone who tries them will totally love them!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy these milky bar cookies as much as I do.
