    The Best Mango Dragonfruit Refresher

This homemade Starbucks mango dragonfruit refresher is as delicious as it gets. Honestly, it's just as good as the one from the coffee shop, and it might be even better!

Seriously, the mix of fresh dragon fruit with a blend of tropical fruit juices is just so mouthwatering and so refreshing! It really makes a drink like no other, and it's a cinch to make - you certainly don't have to be a barista to make it!

In fact, this copycat Starbucks mango dragonfruit refresher recipe comes together in literally one step - that's how easy it is to make.

Sounds easy-peasy, right?! Well, that's because it is. And since it's so easy, you can whip up this Starbucks grilled cheese to go with it!

By the way, if you're a Starbucks fan - like I am - and want to make some more of their delicious drinks at home, you have to give this salted caramel cream cold brew recipe and cafe mocha recipe a try next! Both taste almost spot on to the ones from Starbucks - just like this Starbucks refresher does.

A counter top with 2 glasses of mango dragon fruit refresher. A half of a dragon fruit is sitting on a wooden cutting board next to the glasses.

    Ingredients

This Starbucks refresher recipe is made with simple ingredients. With that said though, you might need to make a grocery run for some of them, but they're all quite easy to find.

Anyway, here's what you'll need to make this copycat Starbucks mango dragonfruit refresher:

    • 1 cup fresh red dragon fruit, cubed
    • 1 tsp. grenadine (Just for color)
    • 1 handful ice
    • ¼ cup white grape juice
    • ¼ cup mango juice
    • ¼ cup lemonade
    • ¼ cup coconut milk
    • ½ tsp. green coffee bean extract (optional for added caffeine)

    Pretty simple stuff, right?

A dragonfruit on a wooden cutting board. Small glasses with juice and a small shot glass with grenadine sit around to it.

    Ingredient Substitutions and Suggestions

Now, I always make this recipe with the ingredients listed above. However, there are a few minor changes you can make to it, and this copycat Starbucks refresher will turn out just as delicious!

First off, the mango dragonfruit refresher at Starbucks contains caffeine via some green coffee flavoring.

So, if you want to stay true to the "real" drink I recommend adding the optional green coffee bean extract (also known as green coffee bean powder) to your homemade version. It has a very subtle taste and won't change the overall flavor of your drink.

For what it's worth, If I make this refresher in the morning, I always add the green coffee bean extract. It's just enough of a pick-me-up to get my day going.

Now, as far as the dragon fruit goes, I like to use fresh dragon fruit to make this drink because I think it tastes - and looks - better. With that said though, Starbucks uses freeze-dried dragon fruit in their drink and you can go that route if you'd like to too.

Just keep in mind that if you do use freeze dried dragon fruit, I recommend adding a teaspoon of dragonfruit powder. Doing so will not only enhance the dragonfruit flavor but the color of the drink too.

How to Make Starbucks Mango Dragonfruit Refresher

Now, as I mentioned earlier, the process of making this mango dragonfruit refresher is so, so easy. Seriously, the hardest part is measuring out the ingredients.

Anyway, let's not waste any more time and get into it!

A mason jar with a blend of juice and dragon fruit, coconut milk is being poured into it.

    Step 1: Combine The Ingredients

First, take out a large cup - or glass jar - that's big enough to hold all of the ingredients. For what it's worth, I like to use a giant mason jar.

Then, once you've got that out, you can add the cubed dragonfruit, grenadine, grape juice, mango juice, and lemonade. Give these ingredients a good stir - or shake, if your jar has a lid - until everything is well combined.

    Step 2: Finish The Drink

Now, once the juices are blended together, you can pour the coconut milk into the glass and mix until it combines with the rest of the ingredients and turns a light pink color.

To finish up, you can add some iced cubes to your refresher and enjoy!

How to Store This Mango Dragonfruit Refresher

This recipe for a Starbucks mango dragonfruit refresher will make enough for one venti sized drink or two grande sized drinks.

If you have any of it left over, you can store the refresher in an airtight container - or glass jar - with a sealed lid. Store this way, it'll last in the fridge for about 1-2 days.

By the way, when you're ready to store it, I recommend doing so without ice in it. Doing so will ensure it doesn't get watered down.

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make a Starbucks mango dragonfruit refresher at home!

The fresh dragonfruit pieces, the blend of sweet juices, and the smooth coconut milk create a sweet tropical flavor that will have your taste buds jumping with joy.

I seriously have been obsessed with making this in the morning instead of coffee. It's just so refreshing and so quick and easy to make too. So, now with this recipe, there's really no reason to spend time - or money - going to Starbucks for a refresher again!
