    The Best Million Dollar Dip

If you've been following the blog, then you know I've been making a ton of dip recipes lately. And while I think I've made some absolutely delicious ones, this million dollar dip might just be my best one yet!

I mean, it's called million dollar dip because it tastes like a million bucks.

Seriously, it's incredibly creamy and cheesy, with different tastes and textures and a whole lot of flavor. And it goes really well with practically everything, like potato chips, tortilla chips, crackers, and fresh veggies.

And since there are so many options to dip into it, this millionaire dip is the perfect appetizer if you're hosting a party. Everyone will be able to find something they love to dip into it.

Trust me, once your guests get a taste of this delicious dip, it'll be the talk of the night. That's actually happened on more than one occasion at our house anyway.

Now, besides how delicious this million dollar dip recipe is, the best part about it might be how quick and easy it is to make. You literally just have to mix the ingredients together and then refrigerate the dip until you're ready to serve it.

I'm not kidding, that's all there is to it!

Oh, and because it's so easy to make, you can whip up some more appetizers to go with it, like these cream cheese jalapeno poppers or these pigs in a blanket.

    Ingredients

Another reason to love this million dollar dip is that it's made entirely with fresh and simple ingredients. In fact, you probably have them in your kitchen already!

Anyway, here's what you'll need to make million dollar dip:

    • 4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
    • ¾ cup mayonnaise
    • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
    • ¼ cup slivered almonds
    • ¼ cup chopped chives or green onions

See what I mean by simple? By the way, if you have these ingredients, then you've got almost everything you'll need to make this halal white sauce recipe, this chipotle mayo recipe, and even this copycat big mac sauce recipe.

    Ingredient Substitutions and Suggestions

Now, I think this recipe turns out best when it's made with the ingredients listed above. However, if you're in a pinch, you can make some changes to this recipe, and it'll turn out just as delicious!

The first way you can change up this recipe is by substituting the mayonnaise. Mayonnaise and cream cheese are virtually interchangeable in recipes like this one, so you can definitely use cream cheese instead.

With that said, you can also use sour cream instead of mayo, and this dip will be delicious as well. Just keep in mind that whatever you use as the base of the dip will change the overall flavor.

As for the shredded cheese, I used sharp cheddar cheese, but mild cheddar will work great too.

By the way, if you want to turn this dip into the famous Neiman Marcus dip, you can add just a little cayenne pepper and garlic powder.

How to Make Million Dollar Dip

Now it's time to get down to business and make this million dollar dip recipe!

Again, this dip is a breeze to make - you just have to follow 2 simple steps - and it comes together in minutes.

Anyway, let's not waste another second and get mixing!

I'm mixing bowl containing all of the ingredients mixed together well.

    Step 1: Combine The Ingredients

First things first, you'll want to take out a small mixing bowl - or your serving bowl - and add the mayo, shredded cheddar cheese, slivered almonds, bacon bits, and green onions to it.

Then, you can use a rubber spatula to stir all of the ingredients together until they fully combine into a smooth dip.

    Step 2: Refrigerate and Serve

Now that the dip is mixed, you'll want to cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours. You can technically serve the dip immediately, but it's going to taste best when refrigerated since all of the flavors will have time to develop together.

Then, when you're ready to serve this million dollar dip, you can pair it with buttery crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies. With that said, my favorite way to serve it is as an almond bacon cheese spread on bread or crostinis.

    Enjoy!

How to Store Million Dollar Dip

This recipe for million dollar dip makes 6 delicious servings. So, it should be the perfect amount for hosting, and I doubt you'll have any leftover dip.

With that said, if you end up with some leftover dip, you can store the leftovers in the fridge for about 3-4 days.

Oh, by the way, if you want to make this dip ahead of time, just mix everything together and then store the dip as mentioned above until you're ready to serve it.

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make million dollar dip!

I know I'm biased, but this has to be one of the best savory party dips you can make. Whether it's the lovely crunch from the slivered almonds and crispy bits of bacon or it's the creamy and cheesy base, there's something for everyone.

At least it's always a huge hit with my friends and family when I make it, and I hope it is for you too.
