    THE BEST CHIPOTLE MAYO

When it comes to dipping sauces, there isn't a more versatile one than chipotle mayo.

It's perfectly creamy and has a combination of delicious flavors that are bold, smoky, and slightly spicy.

My favorite part about this chipotle mayo recipe is that you only need a few household ingredients and 1 minute to make it!

Of course, I also love that you can literally dip next-to-anything in it, and make that next-to-anything more delicious by doing so.

With that said, my all-time favorite thing to dip in chipotle mayo is breaded chicken cutlets but there are so many other things. And I'll go over all of my favorites later on.

    INGREDIENTS

So, as I mentioned earlier, you'll only need 4 ingredients to make this chipotle mayo recipe. And odds are you already have everything you need at home!

    Check out the ingredients:

    • 1 cup Mayo
    • 1 tbsp. Lime Juice
    • 1 tbsp. Milk or Cream
    • 2 tsp. Chipotle Chili Powder

If you need to run to the store to pick up mayo, grab some extra so you can make this tiger sauce next!

A bowl of chipotle mayo, a bowl of sugar, and empty glass bowl, and a bowl of chipotle powder all on a white counter.

    HOW TO MAKE CHIPOTLE MAYO

Now let's get into the good stuff - making chipotle mayo from scratch!

The simplicity - and how delicious the sauce turns out - makes this a dipping sauce recipe that just can't be beaten.

To make the chipotle mayonnaise, just add the mayo, lime juice, milk - or cream - and chipotle powder to a small bowl and mix until everything combines. Then, either use it immediately or transfer it to a sealable glass jar.

And that's all you have to do!

    How simple was that?

WHAT TO EAT WITH CHIPOTLE MAYO

This chipotle mayo is incredible with a variety of things, and I'm convinced that it goes with literally everything!

But with that said, here are some of my favorite things to eat it with:

    • Sweet potato fries
    • Air fryer chicken breast
    • Qdoba chicken
    • Fried polenta
    • Fried jalapenos
    • Fried pickles

FAQS ABOUT THIS CHIPOTLE MAYO RECIPE

How long does chipotle mayo last?

This recipe will make a small jar of chipotle mayo, so you'll be able to enjoy it with multiple meals throughout the week!

You can store the sauce in an airtight container or sealable glass jar in the refrigerator for about 5-7 days.

And if you run out before the end of the week, you can always make more fresh in just a minute since you should still have all of the ingredients on hand!

What is chipotle mayo made of?

Chipotle mayo is typically made out of sour cream or mayonnaise as the base, and milk is sometimes added.

In this recipe, chipotle chili powder is added for that classic chipotle flavor, and some lime juice is added to brighten up the flavors.

Sometimes chipotle chiles from adobo sauce are added for some extra heat. And for even more flavor, onion and garlic powder can be added to chipotle mayo.

Is Chipotle Aioli the same as chipotle mayo?

Chipotle aioli and chipotle mayo - and all aiolis and mayos -are very similar, but they are not the same.

Chipotle aioli is a garlic-based sauce that is used more as a spread. Chipotle mayo is equally used as a spread and a dipping sauce.

    WRAPPING IT ALL UP

Well, that is how to make chipotle mayo from scratch with just a handful of ingredients in 1 minute!

This easy chipotle mayo is so creamy, perfectly thick, and insanely flavorful.

It goes on everything and anything and is the best spread or dipping sauce.

Anyway, I hope you like this restaurant-quality chipotle mayo as much as I do.

If you make it, leave a comment below and let me know what you think, I'd love to hear.
