This pizza dip recipe combines everything you love about pizza, like melty cheese, seasoned pizza sauce, and crispy pepperoni. And, yes, it's as delicious as it sounds! It's my favorite pizza creation, right up there with my garlic bread pizza.

    The Best Pizza Dip

I'm tellin' ya, if you like pizza, you're going to fall in love with this easy pizza dip recipe.

I mean, this dip has just the perfect ratio of pepperoni, melty cheese, and sweet and tangy pizza sauce. And, again, it's a breeze to make. As I mentioned, it takes under 5 minutes to prepare. So it's the perfect appetizer to make when you need something quick to serve on game day or at a party.

By the way, since this pizza dip recipe is so easy to make, you'll have plenty of time to make some other apps to go with it. A few of our favorites to serve next to it are this pickle pizza, these cream cheese stuffed peppers, this cheese ball recipe, and/or these sausage balls.

    Ingredients

Another reason to love this pizza dip is that you only need a handful of ingredients to make it, and they're all super simple. In fact, you might already have all of them at your house already.

Anyway, here's everything you'll need to make the dip:

    • 4 oz. softened cream cheese
    • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    • ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
    • 1 cup pizza sauce
    • ½ cup pepperoni slices
    • Crackers to serve

    Simple stuff, eh?

By the way, you can use almost every single one of these ingredients to make this pizza casserole next! It's a pizza lover's dream come true, so if you end up with some extra ingredients, I highly recommend giving it a shot sometime.

    Ingredient Substitutions and Suggestions

This pizza dip recipe is all about speed and convenience, so there are some modifications you can make if you don't have the exact ingredients listed above on hand.

First off, if you don't have any pizza sauce, you can just add some italian seasoning, pizza seasoning, and a bit of garlic powder to tomato sauce or use marinara sauce - either will work great.

As for the cheese, you can really use anything you want, but mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese are the most classic ones for pizza.

Oh, and for all of the cheese lovers out there, feel free to add some extra cheese and leave out the pepperoni for the ultimate cheese pizza dip. My wife love, love, love's it when we make the dip like this.

Lastly, for additional toppings, you can add anything that you usually have on your pizza, such as black olives, diced bell peppers, banana peppers, spicy bits of sausage, diced ham, pineapple, or anything else that you want!

    How to Make Pizza Dip

As I mentioned before, this pizza dip recipe is so, so easy to make. I mean, you basically just assemble everything in a pie dish and then let the oven take care of the rest. Yes, it's that easy!

So without further ado, let's not waste any more time and get started!

A pie dish with cream cheese and shredded cheese layers.

Step 1: Build the Pizza Dip

First, before you do anything else, you'll want to preheat the oven to 350°F (180ºC).

Then, after you've done that, you can take out a round 8x8 pie dish - or a baking dish - and spread the softened cream cheese in a smooth layer on the base of the dish. After you've taken care of that, you can sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the parmesan cheese, and all of the pizza sauce of your choice on top of it.

Now, you can add the rest of the parmesan cheese and the mozzarella cheese to the mix, and then you can arrange the pepperoni slices and any other pizza toppings that you want on top.

    Step 2: Bake and Serve

Now that the pizza dip is assembled, you can put it in the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is nice and bubbly and the pepperoni crisps up.

Then, when that's looking good, you can take the dip out of the oven, serve it, and enjoy it!

What to Serve Pizza Dip With

This easy pizza dip is so versatile, and you can literally dip anything that you want into it! If you're looking for some ideas, I have a ton of great options.

Here are some of my favorites:

    • Bagel chips
    • Pita chips
    • Tortilla chips
    • Toasted baguette slices
    • French bread
    • Garlic bread
    • Crackers

    How to Store Pizza Dip

This recipe for pizza dip makes about 8 servings. So if you're bringing this dip to a party or are serving it as an appetizer, I doubt you'll have any leftovers.

Although the dip is best eaten the day that it's made, you can definitely store any leftovers that you end up with to eat the next day/s. To store the dip, just cover the pie dish tightly with plastic wrap - or tin foil - and pop it in the fridge. Stored like this, the pizza dip will stay good for up to 3-4 days.

Oh, and if you want to assemble the dip ahead of time - so all you have to do is pop it in the oven and bake it - you can make it up to 2 days before you want to serve it.

    How to Reheat Pizza Dip

Whenever you're ready to eat this pizza dip again, it's definitely best enjoyed warm.

So to reheat it, just pop the dip back in the oven at 350°F and heat it for about 10 minutes or until the cheese melts and it's warmed through.

    Wrapping It Up

Well, that's how to make pizza dip!

I know I'm a bit biased, but I don't think you'll find a tastier or easier pizza dip recipe than this one. It's just so easy to put together and tastes even better than a slice of pizza. Honestly, every time I make this dip, everyone goes crazy for it.

Anyway, I hope it's as big of a hit for you when you make it as it has been for me!

As always, if you give this recipe a try, let us know how it goes in the comments below.
