    THE BEST KETO FUDGE

This keto fudge recipe is lovely to make around the holidays, but it tastes incredible all year round.

And it seriously might be one of the best keto chocolate desserts for the keto diet since each piece has 0 NET CARBS!

So, if you're craving chocolate, you can indulge in a ton of this stuff without ruining your diet.

And, honestly, it's so decadent and delicious that it's hard to believe it's completely sugar free. Even my non-keto friends and family can't get enough of this when I make it, and no one has a clue it's a sugar free fudge recipe!

Not to mention, everything comes together in 10 minutes with just 5 basic ingredients! And there is no baking required - this is a microwave fudge that gets melted and then put in the freezer!

Six pieces of fudge on a sheet of parchment paper.

    INGREDIENTS

So, as I just mentioned, you'll only need 5 ingredients to make healthy fudge recipe. And since they're all keto baking staples, you probably have everything you need!

Check out all of the ingredients:

    • 1 Stick Salted Butter
    • 1 ½ Cup Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Chips
    • ¼ Cup Confectioners Erythritol
    • 2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder
    • Sea Salt (optional)

And if you don't have some of these ingredients yet, don't be afraid to stock up!

They're very convenient to have around when it comes to making keto desserts - these keto brownies, keto chocolate cake, and keto coconut clusters are just a few of the recipes you can make with the ingredients on this list!

Oh, and if you want to make a high protein dessert, you can use the cocoa powder and chocolate chips to make these protein brownies!

A few squares of chocolate fudge on a piece of parchment paper.

MAKING THIS A SUGAR FREE FUDGE

So, to sweeten up our keto fudge while keeping it sugar free and carb free, we'll be using confectioners erythritol.

And for that, I used Confectoners Swerve - it has 0 sugars and 0 calories with the same texture and sweetness level as sugar.

However, if you want another option, Lakanto's Monk Fruit Sweetener works just as well as Swerve - it is also sugar free with no calories. So, if monk fruit is all you have on hand, go ahead and use it!

THE BEST KETO CHOCOLATE TO USE

Now, for the rich chocolatiness that makes this fudge so irresistible, we will be using sugar free chocolate chips.

I used Lily's Dark Chocolate Chips to enhance the chocolate flavor even more. Another option you can use is ChocZero's sugar free chocolate chips.

Since both have no sugar and are super low in carbs, either is perfect for this recipe.

By the way, if you like your fudge even sweeter, you can find semi-sweetened sugar free chocolate chips in stores - and online - and those will work too.

A white bowl filled with chocolate chips and butter mixed together with a spoon submerged in it.

    HOW TO MAKE KETO FUDGE

So, as I mentioned earlier, this keto fudge recipe is as easy as they come.

You don't need an oven, candy thermometer, or even a stovetop to make it. Just melt the ingredients together in the microwave, add it to your pan, and freeze.

Now, get out your ingredients out, and let's make this decadent chocolate treat!

A white bowl filled with melted chocolate with a hand holding a spoon mixing the chocolate.

    STEP 1: COMBINING THE INGREDIENTS

First, line a rectangular bread pan - I used an 8x4 inch loaf pan, but a 9x5 inch one will work too - with parchment paper. And make sure excess parchment its hanging over the sides to make it easier to pull the fudge out of the pan! I like to pin the parchment paper to the sides with some clothespins.

Next, add the butter and chocolate chips to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave it in 1-minute increments. And, between each increment, stir the butter and chocolate with a rubber spatula so everything melts evenly.

Now, once the butter and chocolate have melted, add the confectioners erythritol and cocoa powder to the bowl and stir everything to combine.

Two hands holding a white bowl with melted chocolate in it, pouring it into a rectangular tin lined with parchment paper.

    STEP 2: CHILLING AND SERVING

Now, pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared mold, smooth the top with a rubber spatula, and sprinkle some sea salt evenly over the top to finish it off.

Freeze the fudge for at least 1 hour or until it has fully set. Then, once set, remove your fudge from the freezer and let it soften for about 15-30 minutes to room temperature.

Finally, just before serving, cut it into 8-12 pieces and enjoy!

    HOW TO STORE KETO FUDGE

So, depending on if you're making this to share or just for yourself, you may or may not have any leftover fudge.

But, if you do, it stores incredibly well and makes for the perfect grab-and-go dessert or snack when you're craving some chocolate.

With that said, once your keto fudge has set in the freezer, you'll want to thaw it out, and cut it into smaller pieces. And then you can put any extras back in the freezer for later.

So, to store those extras, you'll want to transfer the fudge to an airtight container, separating them with pieces of parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Then, you can keep this keto fudge in the refrigerator if you want to eat it during the week or in the freezer for up to 3 months!

By the way, if you freeze it, just thaw any fudge you want to eat at room temperature for a few minutes before digging in.

    WRAPPING IT ALL UP

So, that is how to make chocolate fudge keto friendly! Speaking from personal experience, don't be surprised if you find yourself making this recipe all the time.

It's so ridiculously quick and easy, yet yields one of the most luxurious tasting keto chocolate desserts you can make. And everyone who tries it - kids included - just loves it!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this keto fudge as much as I do.

I made this today and it came out pretty good. And it's delicious. Although I just realized a few minutes ago that I forgot to put the sea salt on top. LOL! Anyway I do have a question. You talked about using confectioners sugar in the blog but in the instructions you say add the granular sugar. So that is confusing as to which to use. Could you clarify that please? Thanks.

Hi Glenna, yes it comes in powdered! The brand Lakanto has a good one. I don't recommend using regular because the fudge will be grainy.

Can one use allulose in place of erythritol?
