    The Best Amish Hamburger Casserole

If you love ground beef casseroles, you're going to love this Amish one. It's a little change up from your typical ground beef recipe, and it packs a whole lot of new flavor.

The casserole is layered with seasoned ground beef, tender egg noodles, and a super-rich, creamy, and cheesy sauce. That alone would be delicious, but it's taken to another level by covering the whole casserole in a layer of ooey-gooey cheddar cheese.

It's seriously delicious, and I think it's even better than my other Amish country casserole. That Amish country casserole has been a hit since I posted it, so you know this one has to be good!

This Amish hamburger casserole is perfect if you're hosting and need a big dinner that'll impress. I typically serve this casserole with my Amish potato salad for an authentic meal, but it also goes really well with this garlic bread to dip in the sauce.

    Why This Recipe Works

It's simple to make. Another great part about this recipe is it's easy to make. If you know how to cook ground beef, you have all the skills you need to make this Amish casserole!

A winning combination. From the flavorful ground beef to the egg noodles, sauce, and cheese, there isn't one part about this Amish hamburger bake that isn't a home run!

It's always a crowd favorite. As if you haven't been able to tell by now, this casserole is one that everyone always loves. So if you serve it for a family dinner or if you're hosting, you're guaranteed to have a winner at the table.

    Ingredients

The ingredient list may look a little odd, but I swear everything used in this recipe comes together to create something amazing.

Check out what you'll need to make Amish ground beef casserole:

    • 8oz. egg noodles
    • ½ cup Greek yogurt
    • 8oz. cream cheese
    • 1 cup cottage cheese
    • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 1 ½lb. ground beef
    • 15oz. tomato sauce
    • 1 tsp. oregano
    • 1 tsp. thyme
    • Salt and pepper
    • 1 tsp. paprika
    • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
    • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese mix

You can also use some of these ingredients to make my shipwreck casserole. It's another one of the best Amish casserole recipes, so be sure to check that out next!

A bowl of mozzarella, a bowl of tomato soup,a bowl of cottage cheese, a bowl of yogurt, a bowl of beef, a bowl of mixed cheddar, and three bunches of egg noodles.

How To Make Amish Hamburger Casserole

Tips To Make The Best Recipe

    • Make sure to cook the egg noodles al dente since they'll cook a little more while the casserole bakes in the oven.
    • Swap the yogurt with sour cream for a different flavor.
    • Use canned tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, or cream of chicken soup in place of the tomato sauce for a creamier casserole.
    • Top each layer of the casserole with grated parmesan cheese for an even cheesier flavor.
    • Use other ground meat like ground turkey or ground chicken for the meat mixture.
    • Feel free to use any shredded cheese you want, depending on your flavor preference.

    How To Store Amish Casserole

In the fridge: Store the leftover Amish hamburger bake in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

In the freezer: Transfer the leftover amish casserole with egg noodles to a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheating: Put the casserole back in a casserole dish and warm it in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes or until it reaches your desired temperature. Let the frozen casserole thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating, or add more reheating time.
