The Best Pistachio Martini Recipe
If you've been looking for a classy drink to serve at your next dinner party, this is the one. This pistachio martini puts a nutty spin on the classic cocktail. It's creamy, sweet, and balanced with a subtle yet delicious pistachio flavor. Poured into a chilled martini glass rimmed with chopped pistachios, dessert cocktails don't get any better than this!
I think it's even better than my classic mudslide, and that's saying a lot because that has been my favorite drink for years.
Anyway, this recipe makes one serving, but if you're making them for a party, you can easily double or triple the batch depending on how large your cocktail shaker is. Since they're so quick and easy to whip up, you can just make them fresh on demand when the requests coming pouring in.
Ingredients For This Delicious Martini
Another plus about this alcoholic drink is that it's made with pretty simple ingredients. You might even have a few at home already!
Here's what you'll need:
- 2 ounces pistachio liqueur
- 1½ ounces vanilla vodka
- 1 ounce cream
- ¼ cup shelled pistachios
- 2 tablespoons honey
How To Make A Pistachio Martini
Step 1: Crush the pistachios into small pieces, either by pulsing them in a blender or a mortar and pestle. Either works, but I prefer the blender since it's more hands-off.
Step 2: Next, you can add the pistachios to a small dish. Then, add the honey to another small dish to complete the garnish preparation.
Step 3: Dip the rim of your serving glass into the honey. Then, dip the glass rim into the crushed pistachios. Set the glass aside while you make the pistachio drink.
Step 4: To begin, fill the shaker with ice. Then go ahead and add the pistachio liqueur, vanilla vodka, and cream to a cocktail shaker. Now seal up the chilled cocktail shaker and give it 15-20 hard shakes.
To finish up, strain the drink into the prepared glass and serve immediately. Enjoy!
