Vegan Donut Recipe | The Best Baked Donuts

These vegan donuts are super soft, oh so cakey, and they have an old-fashioned donut texture. Plus, each one is topped with a vanilla glaze that makes these donuts absolutely dream-worthy. Not to mention, they only take 10 minutes to bake!

Ingredients

Scale

Donuts:

1/2 Cup (120ml) Soy or Almond Milk

4 Tbsp. (55ml) Coconut Oil

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 Cup (135g) of All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free flour

1/4 Cup (60g) of Granulated Sugar 

1 Teaspoon (6g) Baking Powder

Pinch of Baking Soda

Pinch of Salt

Glaze:

1/2 Cup (120g) Confectioners Sugar

1-2 Tbsp. of Soy or Almond Milk

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Red Food Coloring (Couple of drops)

Sprinkles to top

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees°F (200°C).
  2. Mix all the wet ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl mix all the dry ingredients. 
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients and mix together until a dough forms.
  5. Form 6 donuts out of the dough - the dough will be sticky - and put them in a donut tray coated with baking spray.
  6. Bake the donuts for 10 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, make the glaze - mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. 
  8. Dip the warm donuts in the icing and then top with the sprinkles.
  9. Let the donuts cool on a wire rack for a few minutes and enjoy.
