This simple turmeric rice recipe is rich in flavor. It has delicately warm spices that are perfectly balanced with savory salty chicken broth. Best of all, you can make this healthy rice recipe in just 20 minutes.

2 cups Basmati Rice

1 tbsp. Olive Oil

½ tbsp. Turmeric

1 Cinnamon Stick

1 Bay Leaf

4 cups Chicken Broth

Salt

1 tbsp. Nuts, chopped

Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice.
  2. Put a large saucepan over high heat. Add the olive oil, turmeric, and cinnamon to the pot.
  3. Add the basmati rice to the pot and give everything a stir. Cook for a couple of minutes, just until the edges start to turn translucent.
  4. Add the chicken broth, bay leaf, and pinch of salt to the pot and bring to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce heat, partially cover the pot, and cook for about 15 minutes.
  6. Serve warm with nuts and fresh parsley on top.
