Shrimp Burgers

This shrimp burger recipe is light, crispy, and packed with Omega 3-fatty acids. And, honestly, it's hands down the best seafood burger recipe you'll make. Each bite is filled with flavor and meaty pieces of shrimp - and you'll have a hard time eating just one of them. Plus, these shrimp burgers couldn't be easier to make.

Ingredients

1lb. (454g) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 Garlic cloves (8g), minced

1 small red onion (125g), chopped 

1 Tbsp (6g) paprika

1 Tbsp (2g) fresh, chopped parsley

1 Tablespoon (3g) chili powder

1/2 cup (60g) plain breadcrumbs

1 Tbsp (14g) olive oil for forming the patties

1-2 Tbsps (28g) of olive or avocado oil for cooking the burgers

Instructions

  1. Thaw, peel, and devein the shrimp.
  2. Heat a skillet - or non-stick frying pan - with 1-2 tablespoons of oil.
  3. Combine your paprika, parsley, chili powder, and breadcrumbs in a small bowl
  4. Next, put the shrimp into a food processor along with garlic, onion, and parsley.
  5. Pulse everything together until it forms a thick, slightly chunky paste.
  6. Remove the paste from the food processor, and put it into a large bowl.
  7. Now, pour the breadcrumb and spice mixture into the shrimp paste bowl and mix everything with a spatula until well combined.
  8. Divide the mixture into four individual patties that weigh around a 1/2 of a pound each.
  9. Flatten the patties into your desired thickness, and form them to make a round shape.
  10. Then, in the heated skillet, cook the shrimp burgers for around 3-4 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.
  11. Once the burgers are cooked, put them on a hamburger bun or lettuce bun of your choice and add toppings.

The scale up feature does not scale up the gram measurements.
