This pierogi casserole is full of flavor. It combines cheddar cheese pierogis with savory onions, salty prosciutto, and rich alfredo sauce, all covered in a layer of melty cheddar cheese. Not only is it delicious though, but it's so, so easy to make too. In fact, just 10 minutes of prep work is all you'll need to put it together.

Ingredients

Scale

14 oz. pierogies filled with cheddar cheese (or pierogies of your choice)

4 slices prosciutto, sliced

½ onion, diced

1 tsp garlic paste

⅔ cups of Alfredo sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook prosciutto in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Remove the prosciutto from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, cook onions until tender. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.
  4. Remove onions and garlic and set aside.
  5. Add some cooking spray to the skillet and cook the pierogies until golden brown on each side. (If using frozen pierogies, make sure to thaw first)
  6. Add onions, garlic, and prosciutto back to the skillet and stir to combine with the pierogies.
  7. Add half of the pierogis to a baking dish. Pour over half the alfredo sauce and add half the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers and bake the casserole for 15 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
