Mochi Waffles Recipe | The Best Gluten Free Waffles

These mochi waffles are crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They seriously have a taste and texture unlike any other waffle, and will quickly become your new favorite weekend breakfast recipe! 

Ingredients

Scale

3/4 cups non-fat milk (or plant milk)

1 egg

1 1/4 cup mochiko flour (sweet rice flour)

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional toppings:

Dulce de Leche

Strawberries

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until fully a batter forms.
  2. Grease a waffle maker with baking spray, let it get very hot. Then pour the batter into it.
  3. Close the waffle maker and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the waffle is golden brown. Repeat with the rest of the batter.
  4. Serve with dulce de leche and strawberries on top. Enjoy!
