There's nothing better than a classic chocolate chip cookie...until now. This Ghirardelli chocolate chip cookies recipe brings the basic chocolate chip cookie to a delectable elevated level. Your first bite will be full of soft and chewy, ooey-gooey chocolatey goodness that you'll crave again and again!

Ingredients

¾ cup Butter

⅓ cup Granulated Sugar

⅔ cup Brown Sugar

1 Egg

1 Egg Yolk

2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

2 cups All-Purpose Flour

½ tsp. Baking Soda

½ tsp. Salt

1 cup Ghiradelli Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180ºC).
  2. In a bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer or stand mixer until creamy. Then add in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract and mix to combine.
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl. Combine everything with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon until a dough forms. Don’t over-mix it.
  4. Add the chocolate chips and fold them into the dough.
  5. Divide the dough into 12 balls and arrange them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until the cookies are your desired doneness.
