Scale

½ chicken with skin and bones, cut into pieces (around 1 1/2 lbs.)

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 tbsp. cumin powder

1 tbsp. turmeric

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tbsp. garam masala

1-inch ginger piece, minced

Salt and pepper

4 tbsp. olive oil

Lime, cilantro, and naan bread to serve

Instructions

  1. Mix Greek yogurt, cumin powder, turmeric, garlic clove, garam masala, ginger, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Marinade the chicken in this mixture for at least 6 hours.

  3. Remove excess marinade from the chicken pieces and place the chicken on top of a grill rack on a baking tray or roasting pan.
  4. Grill/roast the chicken for 12 minutes. Then, turn the chicken pieces over and bake for 8 more minutes - or until browned on both sides and the chicken has reached an internal temp of 165°F.
