This perfectly seasoned sushi bake recipe is a tasty twist on your usual takeout sushi. It's made with layers of fluffy sushi rice, spicy imitation crab meat, nori sheets, furikake, and avocado slices. And, best of all, you only need a handful of ingredients and 30 minutes to make it! Ingredients

2 cups Sushi Rice

2 ¼ cup Water

¼ cup Rice Vinegar

2 tbsp. Sugar

1 tsp. Salt

1/2 lb (250g) Crab Surimi (crab stick)

¼ cup Mayo

1 tbsp. Sriracha

1 tsp. Shichimi or Furikake

½ Avocado, sliced

Nori sheets

Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180ºC).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under running water until it comes out translucent.
  3. Transfer the rice to a pot with the water and bring it to a boil, once it’s boiling, reduce heat and cook for 12 minutes. Let it cool.
  4. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  5. Pour the vinegar mixture over the sushi rice and mix well.
  6. Break or cut the surimi into very small parts, mix with mayo and sriracha. Top the rice with the mixture.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Top with more furikake or Schicimi, avocado, nori, and sesame seeds.
