This spicy ramen turns instant ramen into a rich and spicy comfort food dish. Red pepper flakes add heat, while a bit of butter, brown sugar and garlic powder add more flavor to the broth. Top it off with some chopped green onions for a bit of color, and you've got one easy and delicious meal that's ready in 10 minutes!

1 package of instant ramen 

1 1/2 cups of boiling water (or follow the package instructions)

1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 teaspoon of butter (salted or unsalted will work)

Finely chopped green onions, for topping

Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen with boiling water as it is instructed on the package.
  2. Transfer to a small pot (or drain the water) and add the brown sugar, garlic powder, butter, and red pepper flakes. Heat until the butter melts and continuously mix everything together.
  3. Serve with green onions and anything else you want on top.
