The Best EASY Puppy Chow Recipe (Muddy Buddies)

Ingredients
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips)
3 cups rice Chex cereal (I used cinnamon-flavored Chex Mix)
1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepot, combine peanut butter and chocolate chips.
- Set over medium-high heat and heat until melted. Stir to combine.
- Add half the cereal into a large bowl.
- Pour half the chocolate-peanut butter mixture into the bowl and stir to combine.
- Add the remaining cereal and the rest of the chocolate-peanut butter mixture. Stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
- Let the mixture cool down slightly. You can refrigerate it, but do not allow the chocolate to harden.
- Once the chocolate is cooled down, add half the powdered sugar. Toss or stir the cereal until it’s coated with powdered sugar. *Pro tip: place the cereals in a mesh sieve and add powdered sugar. Toss gently until the cereals are coated. This will give you nice light sugar dust over your cereal.
- Repeat the coating process with the remaining cereal and powdered sugar.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
