This pizza casserole is unbelievably delicious. It combines all of your favorite parts of a pizza, like pepperoni, melted mozzarella cheese, and pizza sauce to create a dish that's to die for. The best part though is that this pizza pasta casserole recipe is so easy to make. In fact, it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, and then the oven takes care of the rest.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef,

½ onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tsp. Italian Seasoning

14 oz. jar pizza sauce (or pasta sauce)

¾ cup water

3 cups rotini pasta, measure before cooking

2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided

1/4 cup pepperoni, divided

Instructions

  1. Cook 3 cups of pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
  2. Add the ground beef to a skillet set to medium-high heat and break it apart. Add the onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning and cook everything until the beef browns, frequently stirring to cook everything evenly. Drain excess grease from ground beef.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180ºC).
  4. Mix pizza sauce and water in a bowl, and add the cooked pasta, cooked ground beef, half of the cheese, and half of the pepperoni. Mix to combine.
  5. Spray a baking dish with cooking spray. Add the mixture to the dish.
  6. Top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese and pepperonis.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, then continue baking without the foil until the cheese melts.
