This Panda Express cream cheese rangoon recipe combines just a few simple ingredients to make some of the most delicious cream cheese filled wontons you'll ever have. They're a little creamy, a little crunchy, and a whole 'lotta of yummy. Plus, they're so, so easy to make. In fact, these cream cheese rangoons take just 5 minutes to make.

Ingredients

4 oz. cream cheese

1 tbsp thinly sliced green onion

¼ tsp garlic powder

24 wonton wrappers

Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetable oil, for frying

Sweet chili sauce (or sweet and sour sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, green onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, to taste.
  2. Place around 1 tsp of the cream cheese mixture onto each wonton wrapper. 
  3. Dip a small brush or finger into the water and go around the edges of each wonton wrapper.
  4. Lift two opposite edges to form a triangle and pinch. Lift two remaining sides and pinch them together. Seal the edges well. 
  5. Heat 4 inches of oil in a saucepot to 350°F.
  6. Drop about 4 wontons in the hot oil at a time. Fry the wontons for 1 minute or until golden. 
  7. Drain them on paper towels and serve with sweet chili sauce.
