If you're craving a dish packed with flavor, this chicken tocino is just what you need. It's tangy and savory with the perfect amount of sweetness and a little bit of spiciness. And it's effortless to cook and is made with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

1 pound (450g) chicken breast or thigh cut into cubes

1/3 cup (80ml) pineapple juice

3 tbsp (40g) of ketchup

3 tbsp (40g) of brown sugar

2 tbsp of chili sauce

1 tbsp of garlic powder

1/2 tbsp salt

1/2 tbsp black pepper

1/3 cup (80ml) of water

1 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, ketchup, brown sugar, chili sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  2. Add chicken into the mixture and marinate overnight or for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Put the chicken and marinade liquid into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then add water and continue boiling until the liquid evaporates and the meat is tender.
  4. Add oil to a pan over medium-heat and sauté chicken until golden brown and caramelized.
  5. Transfer to a plate and serve with rice, fried egg, and sliced pepper.
