Crispy Air Fryer Smashed Potatoes

These air fryer smashed potatoes are seriously crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside, with a savory kick from rosemary and garlic that makes them truly irresistible. No oven or pan is required, and they're done in less than 30 minutes!



1 lb small potatoes

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons salt, adjust to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder


  1. Wash and dry the potatoes.
  2. Place them in a pot full of salted water and bring it to a boil. Boil for 15-20 minutes or until they are soft enough that you can pierce them with a knife.
  3. Mix olive oil and spices in a bowl.
  4. Remove the potatoes from the water and drain. Let them cool for a few minutes.
  5. Place them on a surface and smash them carefully without letting them break apart completely, the skin will hold them together.
  6. Pour over the spices and oil over the potatoes and transfer to the air fryer basket with baking paper on the bottom.
  7. Air fry at 390°F (200ºC) for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
