INGREDIENTS

In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t burn.

STEP 1: COOK THE GARLIC

STEP 2: ADD THE FLOUR AND SEASONINGS

Add the flour, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt. Whisk everything together until the flour is fully mixed into the oil and garlic.

STEP 3: ADD THE HALF AND HALF

Pour in the half and half all at once while whisking constantly. Keep whisking so the sauce turns smooth and doesn’t form lumps.

STEP 4: COOK UNTIL THICKENED

Cook and stir until the sauce is bubbly and thickened, usually about 3 minutes. The sauce should be creamy and spreadable, not watery

STEP 5: USE ON PIZZA

Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool slightly before spreading it on pizza dough.

STORAGE TIPS

Let the sauce cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. Freezing is not recommended as the cream can separate after thawing.
