HOOSIER SUGAR CREAM PIE

INGREDIENTS

Filling: – 1 pie crust – 5 tbsp cornstarch – ¾ cup sugar – 2 ½ cups heavy cream – 4 tbsp butter – 1 tbsp vanilla extract Topping: – 2 tbsp butter – ¼ cup cinnamon sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Bake pie crust at 325°F for 10 minutes. 2. Whisk sugar & cornstarch in pot. Add cream & butter & whisk. Cook over medium heat till thick. 3. Strain, stir in vanilla, add to crust.

4. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top. Bake at 325°F for 20 minutes. Broil for 1 minute.  5. Cool completely, then refrigerate for 1 hour or till ready to serve.
