DIRTY CABBAGE AND NOODLES

This dirty cabbage and noodles recipe is bold, smoky, a little tangy, and the kind of dinner that makes the whole house smell incredible while it simmers.

INGREDIENTS

For this recipe you need: Olive oil, Ground beef, Andouille sausage, Scallions, Bell peppers, Celery, Garlic, Tomato paste, Cajun seasoning, Cabbage, Chicken broth, Noodles, and more

Boil the noodles in a pot of water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside while you prepare the dirty cabbage mixture.

STEP 1: COOK THE NOODLES

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the sliced andouille sausage and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground sirloin to the pot and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked through.

STEP 6: ADD THE CABBAGE AND SIMMER

Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking, covered, for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is completely tender.

Stir in the cider vinegar and kosher salt. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed
