The Best Fudge Recipe For Christmas
The holiday season is all about sharing delicious treats with friends and family, and what better way to celebrate than with a festive and indulgent dessert?
This Christmas cookie fudge combines the flavors of traditional Christmas cookies with the creamy sweetness of white chocolate fudge. It's a simple, no-bake treat that’s perfect for gifting or serving at a holiday gathering!
Ingredients For Christmas Cookie Fudge
One of my favorite things about this fudge recipe is that the ingredient list is short and simple. The fact that the main ingredients are all shelf-stable baking staples is just an added bonus. And, honestly, there's a good chance you have everything at home for it already!
Anyway, here's what you need to make this holiday fudge recipe:
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 ½ cups White Chocolate Chips
- 1 ¼ cup Sugar Cookie Mix
- 1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
- 2 tbsp. Butter
- ¼ cup Christmas Sprinkles
Yep, that's all there is to it.
Now, just so you know, you can use whatever sugar cookie mix you want for this Christmas cookie fudge. My go-to sugar cookie mix is the one from Betty Crocker, but any sugar cookie mix works!
By the way, you can also use almost every single one of the ingredients to make this salted caramel fudge recipe as well. So, if you're looking for some more fudge recipes, that one and my 2 ingredient peanut butter fudge are some great options to try!
Recipe Tips
Don’t Overheat the White Chocolate: When melting the white chocolate chips, do it gently to avoid burning the chocolate. Use a double boiler or melt them in the microwave in short bursts, stirring every 20-30 seconds to ensure it melts evenly.
Customize the Cookie Bits: While this recipe calls for classic cookie bits, feel free to get creative! You can use crushed gingerbread cookies, shortbread, or even fun seasonal cookie varieties for a unique twist.
Let the Fudge Set Properly: For the perfect texture, allow the fudge to cool completely and set in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours. This helps the fudge firm up and makes cutting it easier.
Add Extra Decorations: If you love a little extra flair, sprinkle on more colorful sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or mini chocolate chips on top before the fudge sets. It adds even more holiday cheer and texture to the fudge.
How To Make Sugar Cookie Fudge
The process of making this Christmas sugar cookie fudge is about as easy as it gets - just 3 simple steps are all you have to follow. And that's exactly why it's one of my go-to recipes when I'm hosting for the holidays. It just keeps making dessert so stress-free.
Anyway, I know you want to dig into the best sugar cookie Christmas fudge ever, so let's not waste any more time and start making some fudge!
Step 1: Make the Fudge Mixture
First, add your sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips to a saucepan and heat it over medium heat. Then, let the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips heat up, and stir frequently until melted.
Then, add the sugar cookie mix, vanilla extract, half of the holiday sprinkles, and butter to the saucepan.
Now, mix everything together until you have a nicely melted and smooth consistency.
Step 2: Set The Fudge
Next, gently pour the fudge mixture into a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
I like to clip my parchment paper onto the tray so it holds its shape and is easier to remove later.
Anyway, finish by adding the rest of the festive sprinkles (red sprinkles and green sprinkles are best) on top of the sugar cookie fudge.
Then, place the delicious fudge in the refrigerator and let it set for about an hour or so until solid.
Step 3: Serve
Once your fudge is solid, remove it from the baking dish by pulling the parchment paper out of the dish. Then, transfer the fudge to a cutting board and let it thaw for a few minutes before cutting it into about 10 squares.
Finally, serve this delicious sugar cookie fudge on your favorite Christmas cookie trays, and let holiday season festivities begin!
How To Store the Fudge
This recipe for sugar cookie fudge is great because not only can you easily make it ahead of time, but the extras also hold up really well too.
As I mentioned, the fudge will make about 10 squares - depending on how you cut it - but you can always easily double or triple the ingredients and make more.
To store the leftover sugar cookie fudge, just put it in an airtight container with parchment paper separating each layer of fudge. Stored like that it will stay good at room temperature for a few days. However, if you store it as I just described in the fridge it will last for 2 weeks.
Alternatively, to store the fudge even longer you can freeze it. Again, just store it as I just described above and it will last for up to 3 months in your freezer. Then, whenever you want a square, just let it thaw for a couple of minutes and enjoy!

Honestly, this is one of the easiest and best Christmas dessert recipes you'll ever make. Plus, if you make it, not only will all of the adults love it but the kids will too. It's seriously such a crowd-pleaser and is the perfect way to spread holiday cheer.
