This copycat Chipotle tomato salsa recipe is so quick to make and absolutely loaded with flavor. It combines fresh tomatoes with onion, cilantro, jalapeños, and freshly squeezed lime juice to make a light and bright tomato salsa that is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Oh, and best of all, only a handful of super simple ingredients and about 10 minutes are all you need to make it!

1 lb. tomatoes, halved, seeded, chopped

1 red onion, chopped

¼ cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

3 jalapeno peppers

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp lime juice

Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the jalapenos in half and remove the seeds. Chop the jalapenos.
  2. In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, red onion, cilantro or parsley, jalapenos, lemon and lime juice, and salt.
  3. Give it a good stir and serve.
  4. You can chill the salsa in the fridge briefly before serving or serve immediately.
  5. Serve with tortilla chips or in burritos/burrito bowls.
