This mango sago recipe comes together with just five ingredients and a little chill time in the fridge, and it tastes like something you'd order at a specialty dessert shop.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS RECIPE
This recipe is incredibly refreshing. It's cold, creamy, fruity, and perfect for hot weather.
INGREDIENTS
Here is everything you need for this recipe: Sago pearls, Coconut milk, Condensed milk, Mangos, Coconut jelly
Add the sago pearls to a pot of boiling water. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat, cover, and rest for 10 minutes.
STEP 1: COOK THE SAGO
Strain the sago into a bowl. Add the coconut milk and condensed milk and stir to combine.
STEP 2: STRAIN AND MIX
Dice the mango and strain the coconut jelly from the jar. Add both to the sago mixture and stir to combine.
STEP 3: ADD THE MANGO AND COCONUT JELLY
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least a few hours before serving — longer is better. Serve cold and enjoy immediately.
STEP 4: REFRIGERATE AND SERVE
VARIATIONS
For an even more refreshing, drink-like consistency, serve over crushed ice or blend a cup of ice into the mix right before serving.
STORAGE TIPS
Store mango sago covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Not recommended for freezing as the sago texture changes significantly when frozen and thawed.
