– Petit Sirloin Steaks – Whole Garlic – Unsalted Butter – Vegetable Oil – Rosemary or Thyme – Salt and Pepper 

Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 40 minutes. This helps them cook more evenly.

STEP 1: BRING THE STEAK TO ROOM TEMP

STEP 2: SEASON THE STEAKS

Season both sides of the petite sirloin steaks generously with salt and pepper.

STEP 3: SEAR

Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, place the steak in the pan and sear for about 4 minutes to create a deep crust.

STEP 4: FLIP AND BASTE

Flip the steak and reduce heat to medium. Add the butter, garlic cloves, and thyme or rosemary. Tilt the pan and baste the steak with the melted butter.

STEP 5: REST AND SERVE

Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest so carryover cooking finishes the steak and the juices stay inside. Slice and serve.
