STEP 7: FINISH THE ICING

Add the sour cream, salt, and vanilla, mixing until fully combined. Add the remaining powdered sugar and whisk until the icing is smooth and glossy.

STEP 8: ICE THE CAKE

Pour or spread the icing over the cooled cake, starting in the center and gently working outward so it naturally spreads to the edges.
